USDF bronze and silver medalist located in Troy, TX. I have competed through Grand Prix. I am an FEI dressage trainer and instructor who offer lessons on your horse or a lesson horse if you don’t have your own horse yet. I concentrate on correct and soft riding, creating a supple horse from engaging the hind end and carrying itself on the forehand. Working on teaching the rider how to correctly achieve this suppleness through the correct use of seat and aids to help the horse. I also offer various training packages for your horse to either get them tuned up for show season or just get them ready for their rider. We offer beginner riding lessons, horse camps, birthday parties as well as therapeutic riding or Hippotherapy with a licensed speech pathologist or occupational therapy assistant.

I give western horse riding lessons for all ages (Kids & Adults). Located in Mansfield, TX near Kennedale. I have been giving lessons for over 20 years and currently compete in barrel racing and train barrel horses. I help beginners along with intermediate or advanced level riders. I have helped many high school students in their rodeo events. I have horses you can use for lessons or you can bring your own. My lessons are 1 hour long and are all private lessons unless you have a friend or family member that is wanting to ride at the same time. Hi! I’m Desiree. I’m a professional equestrian of over 35 years where I have worked with hundreds of horses and riders all over the USA to help them improve their performance and reach their goals. LIFE SKILLS with HORSES
In my Life Skills with Horses program you find a “horse guided” coaching program that focuses on self-development in a fun, supportive, and safe environment. Interactions with the horse assist in helping you experience deep profound transformation as you gain new insight from the horse’s honest feedback through their intuitive nature.

This unique approach to coaching helps you learn about setting and upholding healthy boundaries, develop clear communication and leadership skills, create more awareness of self and others, learn stress-release techniques and much more. This is an alternate option to Life Coaching that gets you out of the client chair and into self-exploration through a gentle, supportive and interactive way. (This is an “off the horse” program.)

Life Skills with Horses: $75 / 45-minute private session

VIRTUAL LIFE COACHING
As a participant in my Virtual Life Coaching program you’ll find a fun and supportive atmosphere where you join “live” group coaching calls each week as you apply tools you are learning to a topic of your choice. In this format you can get coached and learn from seeing others get coached. You also gain access to journals, workbooks, video content, and have the opportunity to work on a monthly topic. This is an affordable option that provides a safe space where you can come and let it all out, work on your goals, and receive support and encouragement from your coach and others in the program.

Virtual Coaching: $19 / month

EQUESTRIAN COACHING
The final option you have in working with me, is on your riding skills. When you work with me as your equestrian coach you get more than a lesson, you get a complete program where you have the opportunity to participant in:

• lessons on the lunge line to improve your:
◦ seat
◦ position
◦ balance
◦ and effectiveness of aids

• ground driving and work on the long lines to improve:
◦ the communication with your horse
◦ develop subtle and effective aids
◦ improve your horse’s balance and responsiveness

Lessons include a variety of formats to best suit your needs including mounted and unmounted games and exercises that improve the relationship with your horse and your overall balance and ability as a rider; jumping, speed events, trail obstacles, etc. You have the opportunity to even learn about barn management, feed and nutrition, trailer safety, and equine care.

In working with me you’ll find someone who:
• prioritizes safety and partnership for both horse and rider
• supports you in setting and achieving your goals
• is honest in offering feedback and insight

Will travel to your place or you may haul your horse in for training and lessons. Hogany Tops Farm has been on sabbatical for some time due to health and extensive surgery. I am so blessed to be healthy and able to relocate and open our doors again! We welcome everyone of all ages and levels to our program!

Hogany Tops has openings in our lesson and training programs and we would love to help you excel in your riding, whether it is for competition or pleasure, or to help you with your green horse/pony or your made up horse/pony continuing to improve! We teach and train at our facility or we can come to yours.

Hogany Tops Farm is a hunter jumper training and lesson barn located just outside of Dallas, TX, in beautiful Edgewood, TX,
dedicated to establishing superior horsemanship with physically fit, willing and content, well trained horses and riders. Accordingly, a consistent training routine and at least a minimum lesson program are pertinent to accomplish this goal. Training and instruction, specializing in hunters, jumpers and equitation are designed with the horse and rider in mind and customized to fit each one’s individual abilities and objectives to reach their full potential. We focus on correct equitation in the jumpers as well as the hunters. All good riding is based on dressage as a foundation. Hours spent on the flat ultimately produce a fluid ride over fences in the hunters and an accurate and powerful ride occurring in a timely fashion in the jumpers.
All levels of riders, beginner through advanced are welcome in our lesson program and we have wonderful lesson horses for those who do not have one! HTF provides the opportunity to horse show at both local and national competitions. Hogany Tops Farm offers quality horses and ponies for sale or lease.
Hogany Tops Farm originated in 1985 in Macon, Georgia. The business is owned and operated by Jo Beard, who was born, raised and educated in Virginia. Her love for and association with horses began at an early age, in the family barn, which at the age of eight led her to horse shows and fox hunts with her father. Her journey with horses continued to the professional level when at the age of 18 she was schooling, training, and showing horses and ponies and catch-riding at horse shows. Her professional focus centered on hunters and jumpers and as she developed her own riding skills, she became involved in the sport of steeplechase racing and took that to a highly successful professional level as one of two licensed female steeplechase jockeys in the United States. She has subsequently trained and owned hundreds of show horses and has consistently been successfully involved in both local and national horse show competition. Today, her focus is on the interest of her clients and their goals and aspirations. She has the experience (over 40 years of teaching all levels), and the skills and patience to take them where they want to go. Both Jo’s children and grandchildren are also very successful and well-known in the hunter jumper world! Jo’s extensive experience in the industry has created a wide network of friends and professional associates nationwide. Referrals will be gladly given upon request.
