We are a full service stable providing quality riding instruction for the beginner to advanced rider. Riders of all ages and skill levels, summer camps offered, horsemanship skills taught. Established academy program for the adult and child rider as well as attending shows on a local - national level. We teach centered riding in a safe environment geared toward the individual's needs/goals. This balanced way of riding can then be used to go into whatever discipline the rider chooses, be it english or western. Taylor started riding at age 5 and as a child was a avid pony club member, including multiple trips to USPC National Championships in multiple disciplines. She attended the University of Connecticut, earning a degree in Animal Science with a specialization in Equine Studies and has taken classes on equitation instruction and light horse training and management. Our program is open to people of any ages and any ability, but our priority goes to those looking for a therapeutic environment. We do not focus on competition and our program participants have a large part in designing their horsemanship journey. I teach basic horseback riding, safety and horsemanship with good solid horse skills, along with horse care for those with the goal of horse ownership. My goal is for my students to learn the proper way to behave around horses, how to care for them, how to ride and why things are done they way they are; and to become accomplished, competent and independent trail riders. My lessons are generally one on one private lessons, although I do have a couple group lesson with a few of the more advanced students. I teach ages 6 through adult and I have MANY referrals should you want to talk with past or present students. I have gaited and non gaited horses. I teach those who have never seen a horse in person to those who have been hurt or lost their confidence and need confidence recovery (referral for this too!)
