Brooke began her equestrian journey at the age of seven; studying both english and western disciplines. After mastering both in hand and under saddle horsemanship, she moved onto training roles for both horse and rider. Her riding and training skills continued to excel when she discovered her primary passion for dressage. Brooke became a fierce competitor schooling upper levels and becoming a USED Bronze Medalist.
Today, Brooke has over thirteen years of significant training experience working with riders and horses of all ages and disciplines. While dressage is still her most loved discipline, she enjoys and has an appreciation for all styles of horsemanship. Brooke believes in open and honest communication between student and trainer and focuses on finding harmony between horse and rider.

I teach basic horseback riding, safety and horsemanship with good solid horse skills, along with horse care for those with the goal of horse ownership. My goal is for my students to learn the proper way to behave around horses, how to care for them, how to ride and why things are done they way they are; and to become accomplished, competent and independent trail riders. My lessons are generally one on one private lessons, although I do have a couple group lesson with a few of the more advanced students. I teach ages 6 through adult and I have MANY referrals should you want to talk with past or present students. I have gaited and non gaited horses. I teach those who have never seen a horse in person to those who have been hurt or lost their confidence and need confidence recovery (referral for this too!) Shannon Loven-Thompson has over 20 years experience teaching children and training ponies for show and pleasure. Currently, Shannon has a waiting list for new students starting as young as 4 years of age. Our ponies have years of experience teaching beginners and competing at horse shows of all kinds. Students compete regularly and are often among the show leaders. Our students enjoy consistent competition in Eventing, Dressage, State 4-H Horse Shows, Pony Club Championships, GDCTA events, and local hunter shows.

Especially for beginners and new horse owners, we offer lessons in complete horsemanship – including ground work, fitting of tack, horse health care and management, and more.

A horse trainer and riding instructor for over 40 years, Sandi has extensive experience working with a variety of challenges and unique situations, including:

• Adult beginner riders
• Riders returning after a long break
• Riders dealing with fear and confidence issues
• Horses with a history of abuse and mishandling
• Horses with limited, incomplete, or incorrect training

We are a small family owned farm, offering beginner horse backing lessons for adults, children and the timid. The atmosphere here is casual and inviting and safety is our biggest concern.

We offer Western riding lessons and begin by learning all about a horse and how they think, then we teach you how to groom a horse, how to saddle up a horse, how to ride, then how to unsaddle, cool him down and groom him after the ride. So you understand the experience from beginning to end. You spend time getting to know your lesson horse and of course treats of carrots and apples are always appreciated.
