Huntington Farm Hanoverians is a full-service hunter/jumper stable offering private lessons for children and adults from the beginner novice through advanced level rider. Whether you are new to horseback riding or are a seasoned competitor, Huntington Farm can help tailor a program to suit you. Lessons are personalized to each riders individual goals with a focus on safety and success for both horse and rider. All riding lessons at Huntington Farm are instructed by owner/trainer Mary Jane Todd-Day. Mary Jane enjoys working with both adult amateur riders and young riders alike, using positive training and coaching methods that take into consideration each rider's ability and riding goals with an emphasis on horsemanship, education and success. Deirdre Dressage offers two highly qualified instructors for you to choose from. We offer lessons for very beginners learning basic horsemanship to FEI dressage. We have wonderful school horses to fit everyone's level. We also offer two FEI schoolmasters to learn the upper level movements on.

Our trainers also accept horses into training. We accept young horses to high level competition horses for promotions and sales. We are proud that we are able to offer training for every type of horse and bring each horse's natural talents out.

Whether you are a beginner who wants to learn to ride, or an experienced rider who wants to improve your skills, there is a place for you at our Riding School! We teach English and Western to our students, who range in age from 4 to Mature. Group and private sessions are available.
Students are split into small riding groups based on their ability and previous riding experience. Our goal is to build each rider’s skills and confidence enabling them to ride safely and correctly. Theory is an essential plank of our curriculum. The ‘whys’ of riding, training, and horse behavior, are equally important to the ‘hows’. Small group environment allows our instructors to offer individualized attention and develop riders at their own pace.
All students are taught a solid foundation in the basics of riding. Hunter, Jumper, Dressage, and Pleasure riders all learn to employ the balanced seat appropriate for their preferred riding style. Horsemanship is an essential aspect of every lesson. Each student is required to practice the basic responsibilities of the equine art, such as catching, grooming, and tacking their horse. Offering first class instruction and training in Hunter/Jumper, Dressage & Horsemanship to riders and horses of all ages and experience levels, PSH strives to provide a place for our clients to learn, love & laugh with our equine partners.

We specialize in lessons for the beginner rider up to advanced-competition levels. We offer lessons in both English and Western.

Beginner Private lessons($40) are always one student per instructor. Designed for students who have little or no experience, the following skills are covered: Grooming, saddling, leading, mounting, adjusting stirrup length, maneuvering a mount at walk and trot around the ring. Students will remain in this specially priced lesson program until it is determined by the instructor that sufficient proficiency has been attained in the above basic skills. At that time the student may either move into a group lesson or choose to remain in 1/2 hr. privates at the regular price.

Our Private Lessons($45) are always one student per instructor. Private lessons are a perfect compliment to group lessons to help focus on particular problems. It is suggested that riders have their mounts fully warmed up and ready for the lesson in order to get full benefit from the lesson.

Our group lessons($30/person) are 1 Hour long and have from 3-6 riders. We form our groups based upon rider ability level and whenever possible by age also. All new riders must first take private lessons so that we can assess the rider's ability.... See More

I am an FEI dressage trainer and instructor who offer lessons on your horse or a lesson horse if you don’t have your own horse yet. I concentrate on correct and soft riding, creating a supple horse from engaging the hind end and carrying itself on the forehand. Working on teaching the rider how to correctly achieve this suppleness through the correct use of seat and aids to help the horse.
