I offer experienced training for western and all around AQHA and APHA displines from beginner to the advanced national level rider. Texas Aggie grad with a B.S. in Animal Science with an emphasis in Equine Reproduction and Equine Sports Physiology. Member of the inagural TAMU Stock Horse Team and clinician for the Texas Extension 4-H Horsemanship Clinics. Assitant trainer to multiple trainers so I have many perspectives on how to handle various training problems.

I have an experienced and very safe lesson horse who is also an NRHA money earning show horse to help take you from begining through your first show with confidence. I also have several ponies and all around lesson horses available. I love teaching children and have coached a young lady to a Reserve All Around Highpoint Championship at the Reichert Celebration as well as the many other High Point Awards recieved by my clients of all ages. I believe in teaching total horsemanship, from grooming and care to physiology and psychology so that you can understand not only the how, but the why a correction or movement is used. This creates more effective communication between horse and rider and leads to a rider that can think independently to correct issues as they occur rather than waiting for a trainer to give instructions. I am well versed in several disciplines, as well as equine management. My training system is strongly grounded in the principles of the German Training Scale. Starting with rhythm, relaxation, connection, straightness, impulsion, and collection - the purpose being to develop to the fullest the horse's mental and physical aptitude, and willingness to perform.

I follow the Conrad Schumacher methodology of training: "Enhancing the rider's physical and mental awareness to create maximum harmony with the horse is the cornerstone of the training philosophy. As owner and founder of Lamb Equine International, Gordon Lamb specializes in eventing, hunter jumpers, teaching dressage, cross-country show jumping, training young, green horses and problem horses.

Gordon competed as an amateur junior rider in 3-day eventing and show jumping and has competed successfully throughout Europe. Gordon began his professional riding career in the late 1980s in England, training at Park Farm Equestrian Center in Northwood Hills, London. He trained under Wendy May (BHSF) where he received his British Horse Society Horse Masters (BHSAI). Gordon then completed his BHSAI Stage Four and BHSII certifications.

As a professional equestrian, Gordon has worked and competed for Jan Miller in Barcelona, Spain and Lilo Blume, London, England where he managed an Equestrian Center. He then moved to Southern California where he worked for Lilian van Damne, a swedish rider and owner of Van Damne International. He competed in 3-day eventing and dressage for Lilian. As a freelance riding instructor, he has worked in New York City, Atlanta, San Jose, Orange County and Dallas.

For the last few years, Gordon has worked in Southern California training young horses and problem horses at Sycamore Trails, San Juan Capistrano.

Gordon currently is a trainer at Los Colinas Equesterian Center in Dallas, Texas and Mystic Acres in Terrell, Texas.
