I offer experienced training for western and all around AQHA and APHA displines from beginner to the advanced national level rider. Texas Aggie grad with a B.S. in Animal Science with an emphasis in Equine Reproduction and Equine Sports Physiology. Member of the inagural TAMU Stock Horse Team and clinician for the Texas Extension 4-H Horsemanship Clinics. Assitant trainer to multiple trainers so I have many perspectives on how to handle various training problems.
I have an experienced and very safe lesson horse who is also an NRHA money earning show horse to help take you from begining through your first show with confidence. I also have several ponies and all around lesson horses available. I love teaching children and have coached a young lady to a Reserve All Around Highpoint Championship at the Reichert Celebration as well as the many other High Point Awards recieved by my clients of all ages. I believe in teaching total horsemanship, from grooming and care to physiology and psychology so that you can understand not only the how, but the why a correction or movement is used. This creates more effective communication between horse and rider and leads to a rider that can think independently to correct issues as they occur rather than waiting for a trainer to give instructions. I train at a terrific facility with a covered lighted arena so evening lessons are not a problem and lessons are rarely affected by the weather.
