The farm was established in 1982 by the owners, Mary and Jeff McCartney, and is set in 65 spacious acres of woodlands and pastures. The farm has three large riding arenas as well as a dressage arena, a cross-country jumping course, and on-site trails.

Adult instructors offer lessons in the disciplines of Hunt seat, Dressage and Combined training, and teach all ages of students from beginners through advanced.

Horse boarding is offered for both pasture-board and full-board with full use of all the facilities.

Horses on pasture-board are turned out 24 hours a day. Our grassy pastures are spacious with natural shade and/or loafing sheds and all are fenced with well-maintained four board wooden post & rail fencing. The boarding cost includes twice-daily feeding of grain supplemented with good quality hay when required. Regular worming every 8 weeks is is done by our staff.

Pasture-board horses do not have their own stall, but are groomed and tacked up in the grooming stalls (12 x 14) in the main barn. Your board includes use of three riding rings, a grass dressage arena, two round pens ( one grass andone sand), four acres of trails and alleys between some of the pastures that form a great place to cool you horse down after a ride, and use of the wash rack with hot and cold water. Large lockers are provided in the main barn for your tack and supplies. Prices for pasture boarding are $375 per month

Horses on full-board have their own stall with day or night turnout every day of the week. Horses are out on average 8 or more hours per turn out. The full-board barn has roomy stalls (14x14 feet) which are light and airy, equipped with two electric fans and bedded with shavings. Specially designed stall doors provide the maximum in air flow for hot summer days. Stalls are cleaned daily. The boarding cost includes twice-daily feeding of grain and good quality hay, and worming every 8 weeks.Clients with horses on full-board have their own air-conditioned lounge next to their barn with spacious storage lockers (floor to ceiling) for their tack and other riding equipment. Dry Creek Ranch is a quiet, peaceful boarding facility for adult horses of all ages. We provide 24/7 quality care and supervision for all our equine residents. Located 5 miles south of The Woodlands, near Tomball, Magnolia, and Spring. Owner & full time groom/barn manager live on the property. Two barn checks between 6 p.m. and midnight.

Our main barn has 11 (12x12) matted stalls. We also have a 12-stall, L-shaped shed-row barn. All stalls are deeply bedded, and have 2 large water buckets that are cleaned daily. We feed quality Purina, Nutrena, and Triple Crown pelleted feeds but will provide any feed you choose. We also administer wormers, feed supplements & medications you provide, and blanket your horse at no additional expense. Several veterinarians & certified farriers service our clients’ horses, but you are free to use your own. We offer full board only - no night turnout or trailer parking. Horses are turned out daily from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM except during stormy weather. Our beautiful, grassy pastures all have run-in sheds and are maintained for year-round grazing. We have no dry lots. We have a Safe/Clean, Adults Only, facility here in Montgomery Texas.
We now have available Self Care area for a few horses. Pictures loaded. Self care means you do everything for your horses on our property. $1000.00 a month, we require first and last at time of contract. You will need to show proof of UTD shot record and a current negative coggins. Any vices your horses have will need to be disclosed.
You and your horses will have 24/7 use of this area solely.
We also have a very large open pasture with trees for lucky gelding guests to join with our 3 Senior boys, permitting that everyone gets along. No Stallions are Ever Allowed on the property no exceptions! This would considered pasture board with no board use. Price to be determined.

Trails are available within riding distance off the property. Our Ranch has lots of trees for natural shade. When weather or staying out side is just not accommodating the use of a stall will be granted, however an additional Fee for use of the individual barn stall will be added to your monthly fee, per day per use, depending upon availability of course.

Although we do not have an arena. There is a large fenced area outdoors, non-shaded, from the rest of the other horses that can be used for specific workouts.

Mineral blocks for horse licks are kept next to the clean water troughs. The pasture area is large and very safe with white vinyl fencing which never gives any sprinters. It is not hot wired, so horses have to have good ground manners and not challenge the fencing.

To review, First and Last deposit required as well as proof of Negative Coggins, and your horse must be Up To Date on all Vaccinations, No Exceptions. Any horse Vices need to be disclosed prior to Acceptance of your horse along with Ranch Mangers approval.

Our Vet is only a couple blocks away and can make a barn call when needed.

Worming recommendation for all pasture horses is recommended. Also any additional medications, supplements, or blanketing will be provided and done by you.
