The farm was established in 1982 by the owners, Mary and Jeff McCartney, and is set in 65 spacious acres of woodlands and pastures. The farm has three large riding arenas as well as a dressage arena, a cross-country jumping course, and on-site trails.
Adult instructors offer lessons in the disciplines of Hunt seat, Dressage and Combined training, and teach all ages of students from beginners through advanced.
Horse boarding is offered for both pasture-board and full-board with full use of all the facilities.
Horses on pasture-board are turned out 24 hours a day. Our grassy pastures are spacious with natural shade and/or loafing sheds and all are fenced with well-maintained four board wooden post & rail fencing. The boarding cost includes twice-daily feeding of grain supplemented with good quality hay when required. Regular worming every 8 weeks is is done by our staff.
Pasture-board horses do not have their own stall, but are groomed and tacked up in the grooming stalls (12 x 14) in the main barn. Your board includes use of three riding rings, a grass dressage arena, two round pens ( one grass andone sand), four acres of trails and alleys between some of the pastures that form a great place to cool you horse down after a ride, and use of the wash rack with hot and cold water. Large lockers are provided in the main barn for your tack and supplies. Prices for pasture boarding are $375 per month
Horses on full-board have their own stall with day or night turnout every day of the week. Horses are out on average 8 or more hours per turn out. The full-board barn has roomy stalls (14x14 feet) which are light and airy, equipped with two electric fans and bedded with shavings. Specially designed stall doors provide the maximum in air flow for hot summer days. Stalls are cleaned daily. The boarding cost includes twice-daily feeding of grain and good quality hay, and worming every 8 weeks.Clients with horses on full-board have their own air-conditioned lounge next to their barn with spacious storage lockers (floor to ceiling) for their tack and other riding equipment. Cost of full board is $500 per month.
