At Fantasia Farm, lessons are available to everyone from the first-timer to the most advanced. Our youngest student has been two; our oldest student has been seventy-six.Students are given the opportunity to choose from the many forms of riding such as Western, Huntseat, and Saddleseat. The price is $35 for a private lesson. Our facility is set to handle up to nine client horses at a time, focusing on an array of objectives depending on the client's needs. Being an active cattle ranch, our primary discipline is the Western horsemanship style. Our SHR horses see work on a daily basis in our fields and work cattle on the regular, which led to the creation of our training operation.
Shadow Hills Ranch is an approved TIP facility, I am an Approved BLM TIP trainer, having started and arranged adoption of wild Mustangs from BLM. We offer clients and their horses the opportunity to acquire the necessary skills to safely and effectively handle ranch work, no matter the surroundings and work load.
We also provide Cattle Dog Training - two types of services are offered: first is an instinct test and second is livestock rental for practice sessions.

I specialize in OTTB re-training, but I also train all breeds. I offer mobile training and horsemanship/ riding lessons. I help OTTB's transform into Western Riding. I use Natural Horsemanship to re-train TB's for their next career. I am mentored by a John Lyon's Certified Trainer. I am familiar with the racing world, and have worked on the back stretches of Hawthorne & Sportsman's Park and Balmoral Raceway all in Chicago area. Thoroughbreds are born & bred as elite athletes and they need some one who understands them to retrain their brain for a consistent and safe riding partner.
