We start colts in a low stress manner, taking the time to prepare them for their first saddling and their first ride, doing so with the help of another horse. We start with ground work in the round pen and work our way outside and expose them to everyday life situations. If given the time I do take the horses on the trail and in the mountains. This is helpful in growing a good foundation and a good mind on a horse.
