It is our desire to help you and your horse compete or just ride at the level you are comfortable with. The beauty of the shows we haul to is that they provide a level for all to compete at their skill and comfort level. There are classes offered all the way from Green as Grass rider to the experienced Non-Pro. Part of your training cost includes a free lesson each week. If you are in the area we would encourage you to come and ride more often to practice what you are learning. We offer lessons to riders of all skill levels from the complete beginner to the experienced equestrian. You are welcome to take lessons on our horse or haul in your own horse. Fallon rode her first reining horse in 1999 and this experience immediately had her hooked. She bought her first reining horse from Roger Brazeau, whom she later apprenticed for. She showed that horse for 4 years while still competing in all-around events on her other horses. It took her several years to begin specializing in reining, but Fallon believes that her experience competing in many different disciplines has only improved her knowledge of horses. Fallon has competed in and apprenticed with trainers specializing in working cow horse, cutting, team roping, ranch versatility, western pleasure, western riding, horsemanship, showmanship, hunter under saddle, and hunt seat equitation. She spent 1 year apprenticing with western pleasure trainer, Doug Baucom before moving to Collinsville, TX to apprentice with NRHA Hall of Fame trainer, Roger Brazeau.

She now owns and operates Burger Performance Horses with her husband, Brett. Their business is located at Canyonwood Stables in Austin, Texas. They specialize in training, showing, lessons and selling reining and western performance horses.... See More

We specialize in lessons for the beginner rider up to advanced-competition levels. We offer lessons in both English and Western.

Beginner Private lessons($40) are always one student per instructor. Designed for students who have little or no experience, the following skills are covered: Grooming, saddling, leading, mounting, adjusting stirrup length, maneuvering a mount at walk and trot around the ring. Students will remain in this specially priced lesson program until it is determined by the instructor that sufficient proficiency has been attained in the above basic skills. At that time the student may either move into a group lesson or choose to remain in 1/2 hr. privates at the regular price.

Our Private Lessons($45) are always one student per instructor. Private lessons are a perfect compliment to group lessons to help focus on particular problems. It is suggested that riders have their mounts fully warmed up and ready for the lesson in order to get full benefit from the lesson.

Our group lessons($30/person) are 1 Hour long and have from 3-6 riders. We form our groups based upon rider ability level and whenever possible by age also. All new riders must first take private lessons so that we can assess the rider's ability.... See More

Oakwell Farms is located in the heart of San Antonio,Tx and offers english riding lessons to all levels and ages. We offer group and private lessons. We offer horse training for starting young horses under saddle to polishing your mature horse for show. We accept "problem" horses. We have experience working with a wide array of breeds. Lunge work is utilized for horses to develop correct muscular structure and to alleviate resistance.

We offer quality, individualized, private riding instruction on your horse or one of ours. Lease horses sometimes available. Will travel to your place or you may haul your horse in for training and lessons. Lunge work is utilized for the student to achieve an independent seat, legs, and hands for improved coordination, effectiveness of aids, and safety.

We have horses available for sale in various price ranges, experience levels, and athletic capabilities.

All of our hunter jumper horses and riders are taught the fundamentals of dressage.

Ashley is a USDF Certified Instructor / Trainer specializing in Dressage training and lessons for all levels of Dressage, Eventing and flat work for Hunter / Jumpers. We offer horse boarding to clients at the scenic Sunset Stables. Gypsy Farms offers both English and Western horseback riding lessons for children and adults starting at the age of 6. Lessons are offered at the beginner and intermediate levels in most areas of English and Western riding. At Gypsy Farms, we want students to focus on good, safe horsemanship while learning to understand equine behavior, including body language, as a means to better communicate with the horse. While safety is our primary concern, we encourage equestrians to learn how to care for, groom and tack their horse. Riders are not limited to a particular riding style or focus and can change disciplines to find what best suits them.
