Celestial Riding Academy provides riding instruction in English riding with an emphasis on the three phases of eventing for those who are interested. Claudia is a experienced horse trainer and rider. She has been riding all her life and training for several years. She offers her riding lessons to all ages any level. If you're not interested in riding lessons she offers for you to come out and just ride as well. Barrel lessons are available but you must have your own horse. Marilyn Austin, giving riding instruction at Chastain Horse Park, in Atlanta, Ga offers lessons to children and adults, beginner to advanced riders are welcome. Certified by the British Horse Society, Marilyn has taught professionally for over 30 years in the Metro Atlanta area. Her foundation for instruction came from an elite riding school SW of London, but years of teaching has provided experience in many types of lesson environments, with multiple riding disciplines. Extensive work with Special Olympics over the years, and working with 4-H, Marilyn enjoys the process of helping riders develop skills, and focuses on education about horsemanship, safety, and teaching all riders to appreciate the horse or pony. Positive reinforcment, and a proven method of learning from the ground up has helped many students over the years become accomplished equestrians, many of whom now continue to ride as adults,and continue to be involved with the horse industry.
When Marilyn joined the team of instructors at Chastain Horse Park, she then acquired certification from NARHA, which enhanced her previous equine education, and qualified her to safely teach and supervise riding for children and adults with special needs.
Currently Marilyn offers riding lessons at Chastain Horse Park, a premier NARHA facility, that offers an excellent selection of lesson horses, a covered arena, a grand prix jumping arena and a lovely setting in the Buckhead community. We are a small family owned farm, offering beginner horse backing lessons for adults, children and the timid. The atmosphere here is casual and inviting and safety is our biggest concern.

We offer Western riding lessons and begin by learning all about a horse and how they think, then we teach you how to groom a horse, how to saddle up a horse, how to ride, then how to unsaddle, cool him down and groom him after the ride. So you understand the experience from beginning to end. You spend time getting to know your lesson horse and of course treats of carrots and apples are always appreciated.

I teach basic horseback riding, safety and horsemanship with good solid horse skills, along with horse care for those with the goal of horse ownership. My goal is for my students to learn the proper way to behave around horses, how to care for them, how to ride and why things are done they way they are; and to become accomplished, competent and independent trail riders. My lessons are generally one on one private lessons, although I do have a couple group lesson with a few of the more advanced students. Individual Lessons - $50 per hour: Our one-on-one lessons are designed to provide personalized instruction to riders who prefer

Group Lessons (4 or more persons) - $35 per person per hour: If you prefer a social and collaborative learning environment, our
group lessons are perfect for you. These lessons are conducted in a small group setting of four or more riders, allowing for peer
interaction and learning from one another, while still receiving individualized instruction from our skilled instructors.

Our Lessons Include:
Instruction on basic horsemanship, including grooming, tacking, and handling

Woodcrest Farm is a small, quiet, 15 acre boarding facility catering to adult boarders and lessons. We have 8 stalls, turn out pastures, and a 110 x 230 lighted sand arena.
