We are a Hunter/Jumper/Welsh Pony facility specializing in teaching clients a non-interfering and correct position that allows for a horse with proper musculature. Lessons are available to riders with their own mounts, or on one of our kind school horses.

I teach basic horseback riding, safety and horsemanship with good solid horse skills, along with horse care for those with the goal of horse ownership. My goal is for my students to learn the proper way to behave around horses, how to care for them, how to ride and why things are done they way they are; and to become accomplished, competent and independent trail riders. My lessons are generally one on one private lessons, although I do have a couple group lesson with a few of the more advanced students. Lesson Options and Pricing:

Individual Lessons - $50 per hour: Our one-on-one lessons are designed to provide personalized instruction to riders who prefer
individual attention. During these lessons, our experienced instructors will work closely with you to focus on your specific goals
and help you improve your riding technique.

Group Lessons (4 or more persons) - $35 per person per hour: If you prefer a social and collaborative learning environment, our
group lessons are perfect for you. These lessons are conducted in a small group setting of four or more riders, allowing for peer
interaction and learning from one another, while still receiving individualized instruction from our skilled instructors.

Our Lessons Include:
Instruction on basic horsemanship, including grooming, tacking, and handling
Riding techniques, including proper positioning, balance, and control
Progressive skill development based on your individual level of experience
Opportunity to ride well-trained horses suitable for riders of all ages and skill levels

Devon Olivier is a recent graduate of the University of Georgia. She rode on the eventing team while attending college. She was on the 2016 USEA collegiate national championship team. She won the Open Prelim division at FENCE horse trials on 4-17-17 on her horse Karisma. She won the Open Prelim division at Paradise Farms on 2-17-17. Devon has won the individual Gold in the intercollegiate challenge at Chattahoochee Hills horse trials twice while on the UGA eventing team. Devon has trained numerous Off the Track Thoroughbreds and has gone to multiple national competitions with her horses. Devon has been a working student for Michael and Sharon Poulin (Bronze Medal at the Barcelona Olympics in dressage). While there she worked on getting correct and effective dressage training under her belt. She then worked for Mollie Zobel in South Carolina who was an upper level event trainer. Devon has worked with or taken lessons with Doug Payne, Elly Schobel, Michael Poulin, Sharon Poulin, Gwen Poulin. She has taken clinics with Werner Geven, Dom Schramm, Kyle Carter, Leslie Law, Jon Holling just to name a few. Devon offers lessons in dressage, jumpers and eventing. Devon has training privileges at Ashland Farms in Walnut Grove which offers a cross country course from starter thru Prelim. They also have two dressage arenas and a jumping arena. Riding lessons are offered for beginners through advanced. All lessons are private and customized to the individual.

Dressage training – intro through FEI levels, using a classical dressage approach. – show prep and coaching also available.

Foundation building for riders of all disciplines (western, huntseat, gaited, etc), using natural horsemanship and classical dressage principles. We focus on:

• Understanding the nature of the horse
• Developing an independent seat and correct use of aids
• Learning timing and feel
• Establishing leadership
• Creating lightness
• Encouraging your horse’s athleticism
• Fostering a true partnership between horse and rider

Especially for beginners and new horse owners, we offer lessons in complete horsemanship – including ground work, fitting of tack, horse health care and management, and more.

A horse trainer and riding instructor for over 40 years, Sandi has extensive experience working with a variety of challenges and unique situations, including:

• Adult beginner riders
• Riders returning after a long break
• Riders dealing with fear and confidence issues
• Horses with a history of abuse and mishandling
• Horses with limited, incomplete, or incorrect training
• Horses of many different breeds and temperaments

$60.00 per private hour on your own horse (boarded here or trailered in); $65 per private hour with one of our lesson horses. For lessons off-site, travel fee applies.
