I teach basic horseback riding, safety and horsemanship with good solid horse skills, along with horse care for those with the goal of horse ownership. My goal is for my students to learn the proper way to behave around horses, how to care for them, how to ride and why things are done they way they are; and to become accomplished, competent and independent trail riders. My lessons are generally one on one private lessons, although I do have a couple group lesson with a few of the more advanced students. I teach ages 6 through adult and I have MANY referrals should you want to talk with past or present students. I have gaited and non gaited horses. I teach those who have never seen a horse in person to those who have been hurt or lost their confidence and need confidence recovery (referral for this too!) Lesson Options and Pricing:

Individual Lessons - $50 per hour: Our one-on-one lessons are designed to provide personalized instruction to riders who prefer
individual attention. During these lessons, our experienced instructors will work closely with you to focus on your specific goals
and help you improve your riding technique.

Group Lessons (4 or more persons) - $35 per person per hour: If you prefer a social and collaborative learning environment, our
group lessons are perfect for you. These lessons are conducted in a small group setting of four or more riders, allowing for peer
interaction and learning from one another, while still receiving individualized instruction from our skilled instructors.

Our Lessons Include:
Instruction on basic horsemanship, including grooming, tacking, and handling
Riding techniques, including proper positioning, balance, and control
Progressive skill development based on your individual level of experience
Opportunity to ride well-trained horses suitable for riders of all ages and skill levels
Safety guidelines and supervision to ensure a safe and enjoyable riding experience

Shannon Loven-Thompson has over 20 years experience teaching children and training ponies for show and pleasure. Currently, Shannon has a waiting list for new students starting as young as 4 years of age. Our ponies have years of experience teaching beginners and competing at horse shows of all kinds. Students compete regularly and are often among the show leaders. Our students enjoy consistent competition in Eventing, Dressage, State 4-H Horse Shows, Pony Club Championships, GDCTA events, and local hunter shows.
Shannon enjoys developing a robust group of child safe ponies at a variety of skill levels as well as young riders to enjoy the ponies she trains. Areas of specialization: early youth riders, equitation, dressage, show jumping, three (3) day eventing, and western pleasure.

Devon Olivier is a recent graduate of the University of Georgia. She rode on the eventing team while attending college. She was on the 2016 USEA collegiate national championship team. She won the Open Prelim division at FENCE horse trials on 4-17-17 on her horse Karisma. She won the Open Prelim division at Paradise Farms on 2-17-17. Devon has won the individual Gold in the intercollegiate challenge at Chattahoochee Hills horse trials twice while on the UGA eventing team. Devon has trained numerous Off the Track Thoroughbreds and has gone to multiple national competitions with her horses. Devon has been a working student for Michael and Sharon Poulin (Bronze Medal at the Barcelona Olympics in dressage). While there she worked on getting correct and effective dressage training under her belt. She then worked for Mollie Zobel in South Carolina who was an upper level event trainer. Devon has worked with or taken lessons with Doug Payne, Elly Schobel, Michael Poulin, Sharon Poulin, Gwen Poulin. She has taken clinics with Werner Geven, Dom Schramm, Kyle Carter, Leslie Law, Jon Holling just to name a few. Devon offers lessons in dressage, jumpers and eventing. Devon has training privileges at Ashland Farms in Walnut Grove which offers a cross country course from starter thru Prelim. They also have two dressage arenas and a jumping arena. Hunter, Jumper, Equitation.

Casey began riding in 1989, when she was 5yo. at Chastain Stables, in Atlanta GA, learning Hunter/Jumpers. In 1990 she start competing in the Hunters. Casey moved to Roswell GA and started riding and competing in local and the 'A's with Linda Allen in Marietta, GA. After She moved down to McDonough, GA she started riding with Barry Lane. She moved back to Roswell in 1999 and started showing in 'AA' Jumpers with Bob Buxton. After moving back to McDonough, Casey went to Merideth Manor International Equestrian School in Waverly, WV where she studied Equine Health and Equine Massage Therapy. After school she rode with Barbara Bancroft until she moved back down to GA. She opened Creekwood Stables and rode with Daniel Geitner.
During operating Creekwood Stables, Casey has produced many Hunters and Jumpers that have won from local - AA shows through out the zone.
