Cori Nichols specializes in training both horses and riders for all aspects of balanced seat riding: dressage, stadium jumping and cross country jumping. With great enthusiasm, she teaches both children and adults how to communicate effectively, efficiently and tactfully with their mounts. Learn on your own horse, on one of the farm's quiet and capable school horses/ponies. Her home base is Norwegian Wood Farm, a 148 acre 'playground' for horse lovers, featuring a covered riding ring, numerous hacking fields,outdoor sand ring as well as the only cross country course in the Rondout Valley district. Come school over the professionally designed bank complex, water jump or other numeorous cross country obstacles for many ability levels. Pond View is a great farm for kids to learn from the ground up. They are taught how to be safe around the barn and horses. All brushing and tacking up is done by them. Once they are able to walk and trot on their own -,they can move to a group lesson w/other kids their level. We are across from Tymor Park which have trails for us to ride on when they are ready.
