Snapps Creek Stables is the perfect alternative to the large, intense, expensive and restrictive environments of the high-end stables. We have no walls of ribbons or trophies, no horses of prestigious bloodlines, and no haughty attitudes. Consequently, you do not invariably help subsidize such activities. We don't have dress codes (except ideally helmets and heals). We don't break horses, breed, sell, host shows, offer touristy riding by the hour or accept stallions. We do have comfortable facilities, a friendly atmosphere, and a commitment to quality care of your loved one in a nurturing, informal environment. Our specialty is the care of your horse. Retirement and special needs horses are most welcome.

Although we are not competitive, does not mean that you can't be. We have all the facilities needed to fulfill your training needs with a large arena, round pen, jumps, barrels and even a storage area for your trailer.

Anyone looking for horse boarding in the Williamsburg, New Kent, Richmond area?

We are at exit 211 in New Kent right off interstate 64. Full board each month is $600, there are 5 stalls available then you will be put on a wait list. Stalls cleaned twice daily (or as needed). We provide feed (to be discussed) and hay (to be discussed). If your horse/horses are on supplements we will make sure they get them daily/as needed. Turn in during the day/night (whichever you prefer), if you prefer one of these options. Each horse will have their own stall. We have a lighted riding ring (you can ride day/night). I work closely with owners and each horse gets individualized care and attention. I offer Southern States/Legends pelleted feed to all horses daily, along with quality 24/7 forage . Fly spray (owner provides) during the summer months, blanketing during the winter months and everything else in between is provided at no additional cost to owner. Our horses enjoy maximum turnout time in small herds (5 or less). No trailer, not a problem...we have miles of tree lined trails right out the back gate along with many more just a short haul away! My family and I own and live on the premises and all horses are checked and inspected throughout the day by me. Our property has a blue stone/sand riding ring 65' x 190', 3 lush pastures, a round pen, a versatile foaling stall, a tack room, feeding station for grain and hay and a second story hay loft. The barn has multiple matted box stalls. The property has a private driveway down to the barn and easy access to trails.

Rocky Top Ranch is a private family owned property open 7 days a week. Having been in the horse business for many years and as an owner of 4 horses I understand that each horse has he/her own unique needs. We offer individual attention for every horse, and will work with you to accommodate your horse’s needs.
We offer full, partial and pasture board on 62 acres located in Central VA in beautiful Appomattox County. Easy access from ST RT 460 and only 20 minutes from Liberty University and Sweet Briar College. We provide private or small group turnout. Multiple horse discount and discount for any referrals that use our facility.
7 stall barn: Each 10’x12’ stalls consist of 2x6 tongue and groove yellow pine boards, sealed for ease of cleaning and sanitizing. Fronts are 3” on center prison boards with sliding doors, all stalls are sawdust bedded and are cleaned morning and evening. Lights and individual fans in each stall with ceiling fans in the main aisle. Hot / cold wash pit, tack room and feed room.
Pasture boarding with large run in sheds, salt blocks and ample water supply. We limit the number of horses we board to prevent overgrazing of fields. We separate mares and geldings to avoid any conflicts.
The Ranch offers over 4 miles of riding trails, round pen and outside arena. Free trailer parking for boarders. Property includes two entrances / exits. 70’ wide entrance with drive thru to exits with no need to back up or turn around. 80’ from state highway to gate for truck and trailer, no parking on roadway for safety of owner and horse.
Provide clinics, first aid and wound care
On site lounge with work out equipment, pool table, full bath, TV, picnic table and outdoor grill.
We also provide transportation for all of you hauling needs with a 38’ Cherokee trailer that can accommodate up to 5 horses with box stalls. References provided from previous horse hauls.
