We are a full-service horse boarding and riding lesson stable in Rockwall, Texas. Meadow Lane Equestrian Center is a secure, professionally operated stable with indoor and outdoor arenas and over 3 miles of pasture bordering trails to ride on.

We have been at same location over 20 years offering affordable boarding to horse owners. Being a small family operated stable we are able to offer individual attention to horse and owner. JR Stables is owned and operated by John and Rosie Bankston and have been at this locaton for 37 years. JR Stables is a full care only horse boarding facility convenientlly located 15 minutes from downtown Dallas half mile off I-20 and withhin 15 minutes of the future "Texas Horse Park" a 500 acre plus locaton with trails for horse back riding and
will be part of the 6,000 acre Great Trinity Forest with trails for riding. Our boarders can
also enjoy riding wooded trails here at JR Stables. Our barn has 12x12 stalls with individual partially covered runs. Each stall has a personal tack compartment with saddle rack and bridle holders. Stalls and runs are cleaned daily. There is a lounge and rest room in the barn. Our arena is a 120x240 ft. open sand arena, round pen, pipe fencing, was rack, salt blocks in each stall, several hitching posts to tie up, free trailor parking for our boarders. Horses are grained twice a day and are hayed three times a day when they are in the barn for the day. Round bales are available in pastures year round. Horses are turned out daily excluding weekends and with weather permitting. We do not and will not stall a horse 24-7 here at JR Stables. Mares and geldings are turned out in separate pastures. We have vets on call and they come out in the Spring and Fall to vaccinate and for yearly checkups. Farriers are available to shoe and trim on a regular schedule. We have a 21 stall barn, or for the person that prefers their horse to be outside, we have 9 independent barns with paddocks. There are two large arenas, both have lights for riding in the evening, one round pen and a parcel of land with a jump ring, dressage arena, small cross country fences and bridle paths for trail riding.

The Jump Field, has a grove of old oak trees and pecan trees at it's north end and is a great place to take a leisurely walk with your horse. I have experience with several different breeds of horses: friesians, quarter horses, thoroughbreds, Arabians, Tennessee walkers, cross breeds. I give lessons at round about stables. I offer beginner to advanced lessons, in basic riding, being a good leader, etc. I also offer coaching for you and your barrel horse or just in general ie you and your horses relationship, working with your leadership skills, understanding your horse better, bonding exercises, etc. I offer tune ups and exercise programs on all ages and breeds of horses and I travel to you or you can board here at round about stables. I offer some basic training programs which include ground manners, behavioral problems, starting a horse in the saddle or on the ground, etc. I do western and english. I compete in barrels and will start competing in show jumping this summer. I train my own horses and take a few English lessons from another instructor at round about. I also offer feeding/grooming/care for your horses or dogs, whatever, while you are out of town or just need/want help. I will begin to be available when I come home from college on May 7. I also have some experience with wild/untamed horses. I train quietly and use a type of natural horse method, I listen and try to understand the horse best I can and am not quick to anger. I don't use force but am a firm confident leader that horses seem to appreciate.
