JR Stables / Horse Boarding Farm in Dallas, Texas
JR Stables is owned and operated by John and Rosie Bankston and have been at this locaton for 37 years. JR Stables is a full care only horse boarding facility convenientlly located 15 minutes from downtown Dallas half mile off I-20 and withhin 15 minutes of the future "Texas Horse Park" a 500 acre plus locaton with trails for horse back riding and
will be part of the 6,000 acre Great Trinity Forest with trails for riding. Our boarders can
also enjoy riding wooded trails here at JR Stables. Our barn has 12x12 stalls with individual partially covered runs. Each stall has a personal tack compartment with saddle rack and bridle holders. Stalls and runs are cleaned daily. There is a lounge and rest room in the barn. Our arena is a 120x240 ft. open sand arena, round pen, pipe fencing, was rack, salt blocks in each stall, several hitching posts to tie up, free trailor parking for our boarders. Horses are grained twice a day and are hayed three times a day when they are in the barn for the day. Round bales are available in pastures year round. Horses are turned out daily excluding weekends and with weather permitting. We do not and will not stall a horse 24-7 here at JR Stables. Mares and geldings are turned out in separate pastures. We have vets on call and they come out in the Spring and Fall to vaccinate and for yearly checkups. Farriers are available to shoe and trim on a regular schedule. Boarders may choose to use their own vets and farriers. We require current coggins and a up to date medical record for all incoming horses here at JR Stables
