We offer daily care, unlimited hay, and clean stalls for your horse. We use kiln dried pine shavings for bedding on top of rubber stall mats. We also have a multi horse discount and outdoor riding ring and storage for your use. Free trailer parking. We will be starting a very aggressive fly program this spring. We will be treating all horse feed with Solitude IGR. It is a pass through fly control method . It does NOT kill adult flies, but when eggs are laid in the treated manure the larva do not develop properly and they die. It has been proven safe and effective. So this year All the manure will be a fly attractant/killer. I have small pens near the barn for daily turnout/ even 24/7 when they can't be in the meadows depending on the weather. Enables me to much better manage the meadows. I manage the meadows with first priority being ensuring healthy grass. I will turnout horses on grass as much as possible. However if your horse must be limited on grass that is no problem. We grow our own hay--so I know what I am feeding! However we want all boarders to supply any grain/sweetfeed they want because everybody wants something different. Hickory Ridge Farm will be taking reservations to board starting December 1st. This beautiful facility has it all! Located in Dallastown, PA, conveniently right near I-83 and York County, and walking distance to Spring Valley Park. There are miles of trails throughout the property and surrounding areas, with plans of putting optional cross country fences throughout them in the near future. Huge pastures with mares and geldings separated, and small herd turnout. In the process of designing cross country courses throughout large fields, with fences suited for any level rider/horse. Huge 12x12 and 12x14 matted stalls, two large hot/cold water wash stalls with racks, and very large tack room as a separate building. Tack room has furniture for lounging and a bathroom for only boarders/boarders guests to use at their convenience. The large 100x200 outdoor arena is in the process of being designed/built, and will have a mixture of soft sand/rubber footing. There are multiple farms within walking distance with indoor arenas, for those days the ring is snow covered. Horses will be fed twice daily, with all supplements and medicine administrations, blanketing etc. included in boarding price. With 15+ years of equine experience, your horse will be receiving exceptional care. Our facility is located in beautiful Berks County and offers a main barn on 40 acres. This barn has 11 rubber-matted stalls, a wash stall with heated water, a climate-controlled tack room, and a picnic area. Turnout offers a dry paddock and 9 large & small pastures. Ponies, gelding, and mares are turned out separately. There are automatic waterers in the pastures and stalls have heated buckets during the Winter season. Our sister barn #2 offers 10 acres with a 4-stall primitive bank barn. Our sister barn #3 offers extra-large rubber-matted stalls and a hot water wash stall. All on a private setting with separate mare & gelding turnout pastures. There is also a large heated & air-conditioned tack room.
We use Purina feed and offer diets geared to individual horse's needs. Pastures are groomed and, on a rotation, to provide good quality grass all season long.
There is an available small dressage ring, schooling paddock, large outdoor grass arena, and round pen for training and exercising.
Just a short horseback ride from the property you will find state game lands and the Horseshoe trail. There are a few wooded trails on the property for everyone to enjoy.
We have an instructor/trainer on site, but your trainer and instructor are welcome as is your vet & farrier.
Worming is done for all horses at the same time according to the seasons de-worming program. Yearly vaccine scheduling, veterinarian & barn Farrier on call 24/7, senior horse care, horse lay ups and mare care.

WaterGap Stables is a full service facility located on 35 acres. WaterGap has a 200 x 300 outdoor arena and an indoor arena with sand/stonedust footing. WaterGap is open to the public for boarding, lessons and training. We offer training and lessons (group, semi-private and private) in Hunter/jumper, western, saddleseat (English) and driving. We can get your unbroke horse under saddle, fine tune your broke or problem horse or help you finish your own horse.
