We are a locally owned horse boarding facility. We sit on over 90 acres and offer 4 levels of care for your horse(s). We have a large indoor and outdoor arena, we are normally always full but we do have a couple stalls available. Strait Gait Stables is centrally located in the beautiful Willamette Valley, between Corvallis, Lebanon, Salem and Eugene. It is a convenient relaxing oasis just 3 miles from the growing suburban landscape of Albany, yet it is far enough away to enjoy the quiet countryside on horseback.

The Albany Expo Fairgrounds, Oregon State University and Interstate I-5 are only 7 miles from the facility.

The owners, Robert and Mary have over 60+ years of combined experience. They have developed a reputation as dedicated professionals, offering a modest facility for boarding, teaching riding and horse care to all ages and abilities. B&G Stables is a well founded self care barn in Newberg, OR. We have twenty-one roomy stalls as well as eight large and two small turn outs. Two wash racks & two tackrooms are also available. There is an indoor arena that is kept well groomed for training and workouts. Barn hours are 5am to 10pm Mon-Sat and Sun by appointment. Boarders have access to the property 5am to 10pm seven days a week as well as late hours for picking up and returning from events. Tack rooms are kept locked and only management and boarders have keys. Wash racks have hot and cold running water. Our full care boarding includes twice daily stall cleaning, quality, tested hay fed three times a day, grain and suppliments fed 1-2x daily, pasture turnout, consistent reinforcement of ground manners, blankets on/off.
Each of our matted stalls include a covered, matted veranda for each horse plus a run in area with well maintained sand footing. Natural fly control through Fly Predators & consistent picking of stalls/manure management, yellow jacket control with consistent monitoring & eradication of any known nests, traps, winter mud control by way of pasture rotation & consistent application of sand/footing as needed. That's right! As close to no mud, no flies, and no yellowjackets as you will see! Professional trainers on site with discounts to our boarders.
