Ottertail Farm is a beautiful 45 acre farm, a short drive from Champaign, Terre Haute, Effingham and other eastern IL or western IN locations. 9 miles from EIU campus. We raise warmbloods but also boarders of all breeds and disciplines are welcome. We are a private horse facility with 15 acres of grass pasture. We have added on to our barn recently & now we are offering boarding services for up to 4 horses.

Options include...
1.) Full Board = $400 per horse: we feed 2x daily in the morning & evening, we provide grain, hay, water, turnout on grass pasture, stall & cleaning.
2.)Semi Self Board = $300 per horse: you provide your own hay, grain, stall cleaning, ect... but we will do the morning & evening feedings for you.
3.)Self Board = $200 per horse: you take care of 100% of your horses needs.

Included with all 3 of the above listed boarding options: small indoor riding arena, larger outdoor riding arena, stalls are 10'x10', daily turnout on grass pastures,we have access to trail riding on the Sangamon River.

We are a full service equine facility offering boarding, training, showing and lessons.
FOM is in White Heath IL! We have taken over Sangamon River Stables. We offer full care board, Dressage, Event and Jumper training and lessons will be offered by Rachel Hill. Dara Storm is a Grand Prix jumper trainer that has spent several seasons showing in Florida. Welcome our NÉW beginner and children trainer/instructor Brooke Powell! Our facility boasts a full size indoor dressage arena, mirrors, heated viewing room, mag flakes, and huge doors for lovely ventilation! There is a Olympic sized outdoor dressage arena, manicured to perfection. We have a huge jump field, roundpen, manicured trails that wind around Sangamon River, 3 heated tack rooms, 24 stalls, private or group turn out ON GRASS or a limestone paddock, 2 wash stalls (inside and out), open airy 12x16 and 12x12 stalls, individual tack cubby, NO DRAMA. We are children friendly and semi dog friendly (dogs need to go through an interview process). We feed hay 3-4 times daily, grain 2-3 times daily, stalls cleaned 1-2 times daily, hold for vet, farrier, and administration of meds. Supplements and blankets given at owners request, we fly spray when needed and we will fetch your horse in if they’re running or seem under the weather.

We are a full or partial service, informal training facility offering training/boarding for hunter/jumper, equitation, and pleasure riders. We host clinics, attend schooling shows and recognized horse shows throughout the year. We feature indoor and outdoor arenas, a large outdoor jumping area, plus a standard-sized dressage arena. Indoor arena has a climate-controlled observation room. Our facility is clean and well-maintained with experienced and friendly instructors. Small private property will possibly have room for 1 or 2 horses starting in late April. Board offered is self care and partial self [ options for box stall or box stall with run ]. Property is small,quiet, drama free and family friendly. There is a trainer on site that offers discounted rates to boarders and there is potential to be added to existing farrier rotation as well. Simply looking to help fill a need that we see in our equine community.

Self care includes : box stall, weather permitting turn out schedule [ with a small group or private: private requires extra fee ] and access to the medium sized riding ring. Owner responsible for all horse care, feed, feeding, stall cleaning and turn out/in for $250 per horse per month.

Self care with run in includes: same amenities as self care but horse is kept in a stall with a private run [ runs will be accessed weather permitting to ensure property is not torn up and horses are safe from mud related injuries ] for $325 per horse per month.

Partial self care includes: same amenities as self care box stall but horses are turned out/in[ weather permitting], blanketed if necessary and fed once per day by barn manager. Stall will be picked 3 times per week by barn manager as well. Owner is still responsible for all feed, care and stall cleaning [ outside the provided stall picking ] for $325 per horse per month

Partial self care with run in includes : same amenities as Partial self care but horse will have a private run to access [ weather permitting] and run will be picked out by barn management twice per week. For $400 per horse per month.

If supplements are needed and pre-bagged for feeding, they will be included at no extra cost to Partial self care horses. During spring/summer months, Owner provided fly repellant can be applied by barn manager at no extra cost.

If strictly self care boarders are not able to get to the barn for feeding due to emergency, feeding can be arranged for a small fee.

Exercising either under saddle or lunging can be scheduled at an extra fee, as long as notice is given a week in advance.
