Small Private Horse Boarding / Horse Boarding Farm in Alhambra, Illinois
Small private property will possibly have room for 1 or 2 horses starting in late April. Board offered is self care and partial self [ options for box stall or box stall with run ]. Property is small,quiet, drama free and family friendly. There is a trainer on site that offers discounted rates to boarders and there is potential to be added to existing farrier rotation as well. Simply looking to help fill a need that we see in our equine community.
Self care includes : box stall, weather permitting turn out schedule [ with a small group or private: private requires extra fee ] and access to the medium sized riding ring. Owner responsible for all horse care, feed, feeding, stall cleaning and turn out/in for $250 per horse per month.
Self care with run in includes: same amenities as self care but horse is kept in a stall with a private run [ runs will be accessed weather permitting to ensure property is not torn up and horses are safe from mud related injuries ] for $325 per horse per month.
Partial self care includes: same amenities as self care box stall but horses are turned out/in[ weather permitting], blanketed if necessary and fed once per day by barn manager. Stall will be picked 3 times per week by barn manager as well. Owner is still responsible for all feed, care and stall cleaning [ outside the provided stall picking ] for $325 per horse per month
Partial self care with run in includes : same amenities as Partial self care but horse will have a private run to access [ weather permitting] and run will be picked out by barn management twice per week. For $400 per horse per month.
If supplements are needed and pre-bagged for feeding, they will be included at no extra cost to Partial self care horses. During spring/summer months, Owner provided fly repellant can be applied by barn manager at no extra cost.
If strictly self care boarders are not able to get to the barn for feeding due to emergency, feeding can be arranged for a small fee.
Exercising either under saddle or lunging can be scheduled at an extra fee, as long as notice is given a week in advance.
