Phelps Equestrian is a premier training, lesson, sales, and stallion promotion operation in the Midwest. Cara Pound is our head trainer at Phelps Equestrian with years of experience showing and training, with a degree from Kansas State University in Animal Science, member of the KSU horse judging team and KSU Equestrian team Cara knows what it takes to care for our four legged athletes. With her background in working with horses from start to finish Cara has an eye for talented futurity, maturity, open, amateur and youth horses. Cara creates a program customized around you and your horse focusing on your goals and what you would like to achieve.
Lessons are available from: mom (Or dad) and me lessons for tiny tots ages three to six are able to enjoy a half hour learning balance, leg strength, core muscle work and self confidence. For ages six and up children learn to be effective, pretty, and confident riders on and off the lunge line. Advanced riding lessons are offered for those who are familiar with riding, in an advanced lesson students will work on fine tuning and polishing their skills to be a competitive team in the show ring. Lessons can be taken on your own horse or on any one of our lesson horses. The number one goal is safe family friendly riding that enables students to reach their full potential.

Full care boarding available from stalls, stalls with attached paddocks, foaling stalls, paddocks with large loafing sheds and large green pasture! Indoor heated lounge, indoor riding arena, outdoor riding arena, round pen and trails nearby. Board starts at $200 contact for full price list!

Cara teaches and trains a multitude of disciplines including hunter under saddle, western pleasure, horsemanship, equitation, showmanship, pleasure driving, trail, western riding, halter and over fences.
