I have been a farrier for 28 plus years and a professional horseman. I am offering training at my farm . I train a horse so that the horse is safe for the casual or new horse owner can enjoy . I have experience using horses all over the country for extreme trails and I also contract out to ranches and use my working cow horses to work their cattle .
My personal mare was used by RFD TV trainer Chris Cox at his Horsemanship clinic in 2015 in Las Vegas during the NFR.

We do things differently at GKM Equestrian, you don't just come get on a horse. You'll learn how to properly groom your horse with all the necessary steps to keep them and you looking your best. Next you will learn how to correctly and safely tack up your horse or pony. You will also get to experience many different types of saddles and bridles used in other riding disciplines. Our students are competent and knowledgeable about horse care and safety which allows their learning and riding to blossom with confidence. We are a small, dedicated professional equine facility, so we go for quality not quantity and don't crank out a lot of lessons each day. This ensures the horses' good health and a slow pace that riders can actually enjoy their lessons and get to know and love our equine athletes.

I specialize in colt breaking and tune ups. Lessons are also available. I have experience with cutters, barrels, trail, roping, and TWH. I can start the cutters to get ready to go to the trainer, get them going around barrels, trail broke, tracking the dummy and rope broke, and starting TWH.
