Tuskey Dressage began as simply a way of celebrating our passion for the horse, one of God’s most magnificent creatures. Our passion has grown and we now desire to share it with others. At Tuskey Dressage, we have come to realize that there is an overwhelming need for a change in modern horsemanship. In today’s day and age people are so focused on competitions and making a name for themselves, that they have lost touch with what it means to be a horseman. Classical training encompasses more than just riding. It includes everything from proper health care and nutrition, to groundwork, to work under saddle. We teach all aspects of caring for and training a horse, from foal onward. We are able to train our horses to the highest levels of dressage without any use of force.

The services we offer will include lessons, training, clinics, demonstrations, and theatrical performances to help share our knowledge and show people how classical training can take their horsemanship to a whole new place. Our students learn how to achieve a partnership with their horses, developed through trust and respect. Using the classical methods , which are still relevant today, our students learn what true horsemanship is all about.

Mindy Knoll has been mentored by Ms. Anita Adams, FEI dressage rider and Certified Karl Mikolka Method Trainer, since 2001. She studied with and worker under Ms. Adams daily in the Chicago area working with horses and riders showing to FEI on a national level, then continued to assist in the training at Blue Mounds Equine Center near Madison, WI where she worked with Ms. Adams starting and training young Lipizzans for demonstration and school.

Mindy is trained in the classical art of dressage and has developed piaffe, passage and pirouettes. She is dedicated to preserving the classical principles of training and has seen great success with her equine and human students using this method over the years. Her main focus is the systematic body building of a happy equine athlete, at any level of training.

Mindy is available in the Milwaukee area, and on occasion near Madison, the Twin Cities, and Central Iowa.

Rates: 45 min to 1 hr lesson: $50 1st lesson introductory rate: $30 5 lesson package: $200 Part Training (2 sessions per week): $250/month Full Training (4 sessions per week): $450/month
