Your child will learn Horsemanship, safety, riding (variety of activities and games), and husbandry care from our Professional Certified Horsemanship Instructor (CHA), and Certified Lesson Horses.
We are a volunteer based program and all funds for summer camp are directly utilized to purchase feed for the horses which keeps the program running, plus, your child’s camp fee is tax deductible.
Ages 6-18
Dates:
Week 1—May 30th – June 2nd 7:00am-1pm
Week 2—June 6th—June 9th 7:00am-1 pm
Week 3—June 13th—June 16th 7:00am-1pm
Week 4—June 20th-June 23rd 7:00am-1pm
Week 5—July 4th-July 7th 7:00am-1pm
Week 6—July 11th –July 14th 7:00am-1pm
Safety is our number one priority and each child will learn horsemanship from the ground up.
Each child will receive a Horsemanship 101 Camp Completion Certificate along with a Kingman’s Healing Hooves t-shirt.
Your child’s progress will also be posted on our Kingman’s Healing Hooves Facebook page for family and friends to see.
Each camper will learn:
Four different discipline basics in: Western, English, Bareback and Driving
Husbandry care (feeding, grooming, bathing, lunging and basic medical treatment of horses)
Horse Behavior (reading body language & what it means, prey animal responses)
Training Techniques (Horsemanship techniques in ground work, English/Western/Bareback riding and desensitizing)
Diverse terrain to challenge our rider’s skills, lesson plans designed to build confidence, team work and most of all FUN.
