Blue Skies Riding Academy is a new, non-profit organization offering horsemanship instruction to youth and adults. Conveniently located in Emerson, Exit 283 just minutes from I-75, lessons are available every day of the week for riders age five and up. Riders learn gaits, position, control of the horse, finesse, and jumping as they progress. They may also participate in horse shows, equestrian team activities, and field trips.

Blue Skies lesson horses are dependable, well schooled, and fun! Horses range from the kindest babysitters for first-time riders up to those who can jump three-foot courses. Instructors are certified by the Certified Horsemanship Association, have at least five years experience teaching riding, and are trained in first aid and CPR. Teaching techniques encourage solid basic skills with positive reinforcement.
