Since 1982 the Washington County 4-H Wagon Train has provided opportunities for youth and families to experience a living history, walking or riding in the footsteps of pioneers. We create unique, achievable goals and provide the framework for problem-solving and personal growth. Participants hike or ride throughout the day and enjoy shared meals, work and play, song and campfires, crafts and community. Our week-long traveling program fosters teamwork, builds confidence and creates lifelong friends. This is truly a unique, outdoor, family-focused summer adventure on the Oregon Trail. Horseback riders must be proficient at trail-riding and provide their own horse and gear. Hay is provided. Hikers can walk or ride in covered wagons.
