Jackie Stoutenburg / Dressage Trainer in Agoura Hills, California

Jackie is an exquisite rider with a stunning seat and sympathetic hands and has ridden horses from every level from breaking in through the Grand Prix. Jackie teaches horses and their riders the correct foundation so they can move up the levels and have fun doing it. Jackie and her students are regular competitors at local dressage shows and judge their success by their improvement but also by the fun of the experience. Jackie is extremely detail oriented; she works diligently with her human and equine students to create an educated team that can train and compete in joy and harmony. It is Jackie’s goal to create horses who are straight, though, responsive and happy in their work and to make sure her riders improve daily. All of Jackie’s horses and students are comfortable in the arena and on the trails, all enjoy turnouts as well as time in their stalls. In addition to learning how to ride in a beautiful and sympathetic way, Jackie’s students learn first class horse care. Jackie has spent her life training horses; she is the rider to whom other trainers send their horses. From her childhood in the Thousand Oaks area, through her college days at Meredith Manor (where she earned a Level II teaching certificate and completed both the Advanced Farrier Sciences Program and the Riding Master VI Program), through her time training young horses in Holland, and continuing through her work over the past 7 years with Christine Traurig, Jackie is always learning and always teaching. Jackie encourages her students to participate in clinics with great international instructors and to test themselves at horse shows. Jackie is currently offering full training and care at beautiful Lionheart Ranch in Agoura Hills, CA.
