Verena Mahin / Dressage Trainer in Somis, California

Classically trained by the best, now striving every day for the same. FEI trainer and rider Verena Mahin trains horse and rider through Grand Prix.

Verena began her career in her native Germany, then moved to Canada. She spent 4 years as first rider and stable manager in the Netherlands for Bert Rutten, Olympic rider/trainer and Chef d’Equipe of the Dutch Olympic team. She competed at many national competitions, including showing four of Mr. Rutten’s four-year olds in The Pavo Cup (young horse selection trials) in the Netherlands.

Verena trains with Juan Matute when he clinics in California, and also trains with Steffen Peters. She is currently campaigning her DUtch Warmblood Unity at Intermediare I, and has a selection of young horses that will be making their show debuts in 2012. Verena is a USDF Bronze and Silver medalist. She trains students up to Grand Prix level and competes for VS Dressage Inc. at Whitethorne Ranch in Somis, CA.
