Don't restrict your horse's movements by finding a saddle that fits you and you feel comfortable in. It MUST fit your horse's conformation and your horse MUST feel comfortable in it too. With a correctly fitted/balanced saddle you not only make him comfortable, you can also increase your horse's performance level and get more out of your training sessions.

First and foremost, As Certified Master Saddle Fitters with over 22 combined years experience, we will evaluate your current saddle(s) to determine if it's the best saddle for you and your horse. If it is, we will adjust it to ensure it is properly balanced and has the proper panel contact throughout. If it is determined that the saddle you have is not the correct saddle for you and your horse, we will help you in finding the right one. All this is done at your facility. That's right, we come to you.

The first visit is very comprehensive and can take 2-3 hours to complete. We educate you on proper saddle fit during this process so you know what is needed and why. We offer solutions and have the knowledge / experience to support this.

We not only carry the very sought after Black Country (www.blackcountrysaddles.com), we and also have some consignment Custom Saddlery brand saddles and used County saddlery brand saddles available for demo. Through our vast network, we also have access to many other brands.

A poorly fitting saddle can adversely affect both horse and rider causing physical damage as well as behavior and training issues that can often be remedied, or improved by having the saddle properly evaluated by a Certified Master Saddle Fitter. Provided there is ample room in the panels, and tree / gusset is correct for the horse, it may be possible that a flocking adjustment is all that is needed. In some cases, the saddle may need to be replaced.

We follow an established ten basic “scientific” objective standards in determining whether a saddle properly fits. All ten have been developed in conjunction with veterinary and other equine professionals’ input regarding the health, welfare and anatomy of the horse. There are many other considerations which are also taken into account i.e. the size and riding ability of the rider, the horse’s way of going (no two are alike!), conformation, symmetry, and medical condition. A truly competent Saddle Fitter will take all of these factors into account before recommending a solution to any saddle-fitting dilemma; therein lies the “art” of saddle-fitting – the ability to see beyond objective measures in order to understand how other factors may contribute to a “saddle-fitting” problem.

We are here to service all your saddle fitting requirements. We work out of a 31' RV so all services are carried out on-site. We not only do flocking adjustments, we offer tree adjustments, custom shimming options (all sims are hand cut on-site to each horse's individual needs). Shims used because of an ill fitting saddle are a temporary band-aide until a proper saddle can be found. Some other reasons we use shims is for horses that are recovering from injury or lack of work and have lost their top-line. Once the top-line starts to recover, a proper saddle fitting/adjustment can be done.
