I have 22 years of experience with showing, breaking, finishing, cart training, lessons, maintenance, show preparation; basically everything horse related. I work mostly with Quarter Horses, Paints, and other stock horses but have and love to work with Arabs, Morgans, T. Walkers, etc. Showed AQHA nationally and won many national and state titles. Congress finalist, Florida Gold coast champ, many MIQH titles (Michigan), including all around champs, state champs, Thayne Miner award, etc.
Very skilled with beginners and advanced. Will work with any age group. Lessons, work, train, buy/sell or conditioning.

Vanessa and Patrick Conner have spent their lives riding and working with horses. Vanessa has been training and teaching riding professionally in the Austin area for more than two decades. Vanessa trains riders in the disciplines of dressage, show jumping and eventing. Eventing is the "triathlon" of equestrian sports and consists of dressage, show jumping and cross-country jumping. She is currently working on earning her United States Dressage Federation (USDF) bronze medal. Vanessa is an United States Eventing Association (USEA) Level I Certified Trainer.

The Conners' riding lesson and training program is based on the principles of classical dressage. Vanessa specializes in dressage training and lessons through USDF third level, and she enjoys working with all types of riders and horses. She also teaches jumping lessons through the USEA Preliminary Level (3'6"), and trains riders in the sport of eventing from the Green-as-Grass (beginner) level through Preliminary. Because the Conners' focus on eventing, their program provides lessons in both show jumping and cross-country jumping.

The Conners conduct training at their facility in Liberty Hill, Texas, just 25 minutes northwest of Austin. The Conners host clinics with outside riding clinicians, and Vanessa is also available for clinics, horse show coaching and horse evaluations.

Gypsy Farms offers both English and Western horseback riding lessons for children and adults starting at the age of 6. Lessons are offered at the beginner and intermediate levels in most areas of English and Western riding. At Gypsy Farms, we want students to focus on good, safe horsemanship while learning to understand equine behavior, including body language, as a means to better communicate with the horse. While safety is our primary concern, we encourage equestrians to learn how to care for, groom and tack their horse.
