Dana began her show career in the hunter ring, but was captured by Dressage after discovering how correct riding on the flat will benefit every horse. For the past 30 years she has successfully trained and shown in open dressage classes from training level thought Prix St Georges. "I have been fortunate to have obtained my Dressage education from top trainers and clinicians. I also believe that continuing education in Dressage is important. Reading, watching, and participating help keep trainers up to date on new issues, yet reaffirm the basics of correct training methods." Sky’s the limit riding program offers horse training, riding lessons and horse programs throughout the year. In our training programs, we emphasize groundwork, safety and forming a bond with the horse based on respect and trust. With our riding lessons, we provide a fun, family atmosphere for everyone. Our program encourages students of all ages and levels to learn and develop their own personal horsemanship skills. Lessons are designed to work with each individual at his or her own pace and comfort zone. We strive for a relaxed environment so you can enjoy learning. We cater to riders of all ages in English and western. . Lessons will include basic horse care and safely working around a horse. Brushing, tacking, bridling will be included until the rider shows competence in these areas to move towards independence. For our programs, we currently offer "A Day with Horses", a half day program for people who would like to learn about horse ownership and what is involved. “Safety first” is the foundation of my lesson philosophy. Once we have safety skills in place, we can be free to let the fun begin! My teaching style is very laid back and relaxed because I thoroughly enjoy teaching you to ride. I want to project that to my students so you get your best ride possible in every lesson. Are you ready to work? Every lesson will be an energy-filled hour. We go at your pace, but constantly keep things fresh with lots of different exercises and equestrian theory. You will get more out of riding if you know why you are sitting that trot, keeping your heels down, eyes up, toes in. Each lesson should teach you something new as well as practicing what you already know.

I don’t push showing, but if you want to compete I can get you ready for the ring. I have students who show WCSA, CSDEA and MN Hunter. I also have students that never enter a show ring, and that’s okay too. What matters most is that you enjoy lesson times- whether you will be throwing a leg over the saddle for the first time, have gotten away from riding and want to start up again, or are looking to build on the skills you already have and take riding to the next level.
