Our aspiration at Cross Trails Stables is to provide an inexpensive facility where horse lovers of all ages can have serious, and play, time with horses. We involve ourselves yearly in hunter paces, trail rides, beach rides, drag fox hunting, dressage, eventing, and endurance. Since 1989 I have specialized in working with youth and amateur riders. I started my career riding Western horses with my speciality being All Around/versatility and Trail (show) . During my college years I delved into the world of showing hunter jumpers and there I would spend the next 20+ years showing and competing. 2020 marked my path back into the Western world.
I operate a small lesson barn with a very minimal number of boarders and minimal number of training horses at any one time. If you are interested in training or tune ups, please be aware there my be a waiting list. Lessons are 45$ per hour for most riders. Walk/trot riders 6-8 $35 (30-45 min) Youth 6 and under (leadline) are 30$/ half hour. As of 2022 we will offer video/remote lessons. With a strong emphasis on safetyand solid basics. "At home" programs/lessons are available so you can work on your owns horse or we can problem solve, standard rate +fuel sur charge (max 20 mile distance) Children with ADD/ADHD and high function autism are welcome as my program can me modified to accommodate their specific needs.
