Little D Farms is a family oriented farm focused on natural horsemanship and respect for your equine partner. We teach all ages from beginners to intermediate riders, we love children and adults starting out or coming back to the equine world. We focus on building a relationship with your horse, communication, and a balanced riding seat that will stay with a rider their entire life. We teach you about horses from the ground up including; health care, grooming, and tacking. However your lesson time starts from the time you are in the saddle. We specialize in speed events (cloverleaf barrels, texas barrels, arena race, cones, and pole bending) and provide trailering to local shows and JR Rodeo. We also enjoy trail riding at local trails and on 35 farm acres available, and teach skills needed for confident and safe trail rides. Marcy has over 40 years of experience in the horse world. She started teaching herself to ride on her first horse, Whiskey, at a very young age and by the age of 10 she was showing Saddlebred horses on a national level. Marcy later began teaching students at Double TTK Ranch in Marietta, Georgia. Along with teaching lessons, Marcy also taught horse and pony camps in the summer, led trail rides on the weekends, and was responsible for the daily care and maintenance of over 100 horses. In 2002, she and her husband David decided to purchase their own place and have called Blue Springs Farm home ever since. Her students include many APHA Top 10 riders, the 2002 APHA World Champion in 10 and Under Trail, multiple IEA National Champion teams, and individual IEA National Champions in both horsemanship and reining.

Over 35 years' experience in the equestrian industry, 14 years as a professional. I believe that riding should be fun and safe. I was taught by many wonderful trainers like; Berry Lane, Linda Allen, Daniel Geitner, and more. My focus is to ensure the rider has a strong and balanced leg, seat, and upper body. I believe a jump is simply a jump, it's how you ride between the jumps that matter.
I teach based on how each rider learns. I understand that every rider learns at their own pace, and I structure each lesson according to the rider's needs. I will not over face a rider, but I do ask a rider to step out of their comfort zone periodically, in a safe and understanding manor. I ask the riders to challenge themselves, not me forcing them.

I only offer private or semi private lessons. However, in the beginning I want a rider in a private setting so I can understand them and the rider can learn how I teach. Beginner riders are only private lessons, for their safety.
