Established in 1993, High Point is a group of equestrians who share the love for Dressage, Equitation, Hunters and Jumpers. Our goal is to bring out the best in every horse and every rider.

Based in two venues, High Point exposes riding teams to a variety of footing and topography. We offer complete state-of-the-art care and training from beginner through retirement. Shannon Loven-Thompson has over 20 years experience teaching children and training ponies for show and pleasure. Currently, Shannon has a waiting list for new students starting as young as 4 years of age. Our ponies have years of experience teaching beginners and competing at horse shows of all kinds. Students compete regularly and are often among the show leaders. Our students enjoy consistent competition in Eventing, Dressage, State 4-H Horse Shows, Pony Club Championships, GDCTA events, and local hunter shows.
Shannon enjoys developing a robust group of child safe ponies at a variety of skill levels as well as young riders to enjoy the ponies she trains. Areas of specialization: early youth riders, equitation, dressage, show jumping, three (3) day eventing, and western pleasure.
Lessons are taught on our farm located in Jefferson.
