Hi there! I'm a Dressage Rider, Trainer, L Judge and clinician. I am an USDF Bronze & Silver medalist and also an L Program Graduate with Distinction and working on my USEF little r application. I do lots of types of clinics - Ride a Test, Western dressage, Pony Club, etc. I have a pretty unique style in that I work with riders on the ground to get body awareness as I'm also a AFAA certified fitness professional and then work on their position to see how they can influence their horse correctly, kindly and classically without fighting or frustration. Riding is supposed to be FUN! I help riders who want to show find those savvy points they are missing as well as polish the strengths of their horse and maintain the quality of the gaits to present an oh so very lovely picture to the judge. I've worked with all types of riders and horses - eventers, pony club, beginners, up to expert level, young horses, old horses and just about every breed! Over 35 years' experience in the equestrian industry, 14 years as a professional. I believe that riding should be fun and safe. I was taught by many wonderful trainers like; Berry Lane, Linda Allen, Daniel Geitner, and more. My focus is to ensure the rider has a strong and balanced leg, seat, and upper body. I believe a jump is simply a jump, it's how you ride between the jumps that matter.
I teach based on how each rider learns. I understand that every rider learns at their own pace, and I structure each lesson according to the rider's needs. I will not over face a rider, but I do ask a rider to step out of their comfort zone periodically, in a safe and understanding manor. I ask the riders to challenge themselves, not me forcing them.

I only offer private or semi private lessons. However, in the beginning I want a rider in a private setting so I can understand them and the rider can learn how I teach. Beginner riders are only private lessons, for their safety.
