Conveniently located, The Equestrian Reserve is in Alpharetta close to Johns Creek, Duluth, Cumming, Suwanee, and outlying communities. We are just 15 minutes north of the Atlanta perimeter.

At The Equestrian Reserve, we are certain you will discover there is no other equestrian program that offers such dynamic instructional programs meeting the needs of all riders including children ages 4 -18 and adults.

Whether a beginner or an advanced rider, we have developed numerous age appropriate introductory programs, a strong lesson program providing an ongoing skill based four level lesson continuum certificate program, and advanced equestrian opportunities.

Our school has well trained schooling and performance show horses to enable us to offer all around instruction utilizing AQHA standards. We train you in the disciplines: English Hunt Seat including equitation, hunter under saddle and jumping and/or Western Pleasure including horsemanship, showmanship, trail and western riding. Although there is no pressure to enter the world of showing, the opportunity is there as we have created a forty member competition team serving as a springboard for equestrians to compete on the national circuit.

Because of her previous years as a teacher and elementary school principal in the school system, she has truly created a unique equestrian academy and horseback riding school that has sound educational practices with safety always at the forefront. We have daily lesson programs and teach students after school from Monday thru Fridays and Saturday mornings. We teach classical horsemanship and basic riding skills in walk, trot, canter and jumping.We offer private, semi-private and group lessons. Hand, Hoof and Heart is a 501c3 nonprofit. Our mission is to support self-growth, promote inclusivity and build a connection within the community through animal-assisted activities designed to improve cognitive, social, emotional, and physical functioning. Our program is open to people of any ages and any ability, but our priority goes to those looking for a therapeutic environment. We do not focus on competition and our program participants have a large part in designing their horsemanship journey. This program is not suitable for any rider that is looking to compete in equine sports. Marilyn Austin, giving riding instruction at Chastain Horse Park, in Atlanta, Ga offers lessons to children and adults, beginner to advanced riders are welcome. Certified by the British Horse Society, Marilyn has taught professionally for over 30 years in the Metro Atlanta area. Her foundation for instruction came from an elite riding school SW of London, but years of teaching has provided experience in many types of lesson environments, with multiple riding disciplines. Extensive work with Special Olympics over the years, and working with 4-H, Marilyn enjoys the process of helping riders develop skills, and focuses on education about horsemanship, safety, and teaching all riders to appreciate the horse or pony. Positive reinforcment, and a proven method of learning from the ground up has helped many students over the years become accomplished equestrians, many of whom now continue to ride as adults,and continue to be involved with the horse industry.
When Marilyn joined the team of instructors at Chastain Horse Park, she then acquired certification from NARHA, which enhanced her previous equine education, and qualified her to safely teach and supervise riding for children and adults with special needs.
Currently Marilyn offers riding lessons at Chastain Horse Park, a premier NARHA facility, that offers an excellent selection of lesson horses, a covered arena, a grand prix jumping arena and a lovely setting in the Buckhead community. Verse Noia Farm have been family owned for over 30 years. Located in South Forsyth/North Fulton on over 200 acres. We board horses, provide lessons for all ages and have horss for sale/lease.

Owner/Trainer Mrs. Tyler Verlander-Peabody has been riding since before she could walk and has been teaching lessons to children and adults for 15 years. She showed on the local GHJA circuit growing up in Woodstock GA, her experience and training has been with the top GA trainers in the Hunter/Jumper/Equitation discipline. She interned with AA trainers traveling to AA shows all over GA, FL, and the east coast up to Lake Placid, NY. By the time she was 18 years old, she had already successfully managed a 50 person lesson program, summer camp and 20 horse boarding stable. Tyler is an entrepreneur and business woman at heart and utilizes her marketing and management education from KSU to strive in her business. She has trained and sold numerous horses that have gone on to AA show homes and beloved owners. Tyler is passionate about being an advocate for both horse and ride, her students appreciate her detail oriented lessons with safe forward progress each time. Her boarders appreciate her 30 years of equine experience and horse management and trust her top notch care, stemming from her life motto "Leave it better than you found it".

Beautiful facility, open to Hunters, Jumpers, and Equitation riders. We compete from GHJA to USEF AA.
Over 35 years' experience in the equestrian industry, 14 years as a professional. I believe that riding should be fun and safe. I was taught by many wonderful trainers like; Berry Lane, Linda Allen, Daniel Geitner, and more. My focus is to ensure the rider has a strong and balanced leg, seat, and upper body. I believe a jump is simply a jump, it's how you ride between the jumps that matter.
I teach based on how each rider learns. I understand that every rider learns at their own pace, and I structure each lesson according to the rider's needs. I will not over face a rider, but I do ask a rider to step out of their comfort zone periodically, in a safe and understanding manor. I ask the riders to challenge themselves, not me forcing them.

I only offer private or semi private lessons. However, in the beginning I want a rider in a private setting so I can understand them and the rider can learn how I teach. Beginner riders are only private lessons, for their safety.
