We offer training, showing, sales, boarding and beginner - advanced riding lessons in the hunter/jumper disciplines. Marilyn Austin, giving riding instruction at Chastain Horse Park, in Atlanta, Ga offers lessons to children and adults, beginner to advanced riders are welcome. Certified by the British Horse Society, Marilyn has taught professionally for over 30 years in the Metro Atlanta area. Her foundation for instruction came from an elite riding school SW of London, but years of teaching has provided experience in many types of lesson environments, with multiple riding disciplines. Extensive work with Special Olympics over the years, and working with 4-H, Marilyn enjoys the process of helping riders develop skills, and focuses on education about horsemanship, safety, and teaching all riders to appreciate the horse or pony. Positive reinforcment, and a proven method of learning from the ground up has helped many students over the years become accomplished equestrians, many of whom now continue to ride as adults,and continue to be involved with the horse industry.
When Marilyn joined the team of instructors at Chastain Horse Park, she then acquired certification from NARHA, which enhanced her previous equine education, and qualified her to safely teach and supervise riding for children and adults with special needs.
