Christy Zweig Niehues operates Always August Farm in Fayetteville, AR. With two decades of eventing experience, she has competed through the USEA Preliminary Level (3'7") and has her Eventing Bronze Medal at the Training Level. She is currently in the process of obtaining her ICP - Novice level certification.

Christy has experience managing large professional equestrian operations, and has worked at large boarding farms in MA and SC. In 2009, she was the horseback riding director for the Girl Scouts of the Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys and was responsible for the care and feed of 23 camp horses and overall management of a lesson and trail riding program.

Christy enjoys working with all breeds of horses, but especially off-the-track-thoroughbreds. Always August Farm has lesson horses available and trailer-in students are always welcome. She enjoys helping adults and children gain confidence, particularly over fences, and coaches riders of all levels; from those who just want to ride for fun to those who are working on climbing the levels of eventing and competing regularly in rated events.... I have always loved horses since I could walk and have been riding for 17 years. I got my first pony when I was five and never wanted to leave the barn again. I started my training with Debbie Studyvin and have since then trained with numerous others all over the Midwest. I have show on the 'A' rated circuit for over 10 years in both hunters and jumpers as well as equitation. I have qualified for Zone 7 Finals multiple times for Childrens Jumpers and also have a good background in equitation. I attended Colorado State University for a little over a year studying Equine Science and have since moved back to Northwest Arkansas and been furthering my education at home as well as through clinics and seminars. In the last 3 years I have received my professional status through the United States Equestrian Federation and have been training both children and horses. I have recently started a buying and selling business with my mother and have three horses ready to sell of all different price ranges. I also have a good lesson program for people of all ages and skill levels. I do like to start children who are 6 or older for safety reasons. I have had huge success with students in the local shows as well as on the ‘A’ rated circuit. I took a student to a show in Colorado this summer and she came home with one champion and two reserve champion ribbons out of at least 20 other riders as well as professionals.
