I instruct riding lessons in Hunter/Jumpers and Eventing up to Beginner/Novice. I also teach the basics of riding and horse care for anyone curious about horses. I am fully capable and able to teach students ranging from beginners up to intermediate riders. Most instruction will take place at Rolling Hill Ranch on Marks Road; a very safe and secure location for riding. I have over two years of experience in preparing students for various level of horse showing and I have been participating in competition riding for 12 years. I will continue to take my students to shows every month if they what to show, teach them what it means to be committed to excellence. I have two lesson horses on the farm for instruction. Ashley Kriegel is an instructor new to the area and she is currently a working student for world-renowned eventer Holly Hudspeth. Ashley specializes in eventing and currently competes at the Intermediate level with her own horse. She is an HB graduate of Pony Club and has been teaching and training horses since she was 15. Bright Star Stables is a non-profit therapeutic riding center. The program serves both the physically and mentally disable communities. Bright Star Stables offers therapeutic riding lessons, hippotherapy, and the opportunity for compete in equine events. Students will be taught equine care, riding, handling, and management to their best level of ability. Students will also be involved to the level of their ability, skill, and interest in competition and training horses.

Therapeutic lessons are conducted at a NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicapped Association) certified facility located in Rougemont, NC. These lessons teach individuals horsemanship skills which allow them to potentially compete in locally and nationally recognized horse events in both Western riding, as well as English riding disciplines. Instruction is offered to students of all ages, backgrounds, and ability levels. Hoofbeats in Harmony's Horsemanship Academy is one of a kind! All students entering the program start at Level 1 and graduate after Level 10. Students progress through the levels at their own speed, earning achievement awards when they level up. Each level is divided into 6 categories: Horse Care – Riding – Ground Work – Liberty Training – Physical Fitness – Equine Literature. It is necessary for the student to pass the required tasks in all 6 categories of horsemanship in order move up a level.

When students pass a level, they will be awarded a Certificate of Completion and a patch unique to the level passed that will go on their Hoofbeats in Harmony vest. Students are encouraged to wear their vests to their lessons to showcase their accomplishments.

Equestrian Arts Institute is a true equestrian educational experience. We not only educate our riders how to ride, we always incorporate horsemanship educational opportunities. We give lessons for children ages 6+ through adult riders. We have competition opportunities for those with a competitive drive and other fun, pleasure activities for those that are a bit more laid back.
