Over 20 yrs of experience. Forecast Farms offers riding lessons for all ages and all levels of riding. We offer private or small group lessons, either on your horse or on one of our lesson horses. Flexible lesson times are available including weekends and evenings. Year round lessons are available in the indoor riding arena or the outdoor ring. We specialize in building riders confidence.

Hello everyone! Wanted to introduce the new and upcoming English and Western training facility in the heart of Spotslyvania Virgina. We are a work in progress but have BIG goals and need your help to get there! We have now put in our arena! Working on getting a few jumps as well to start with. As of now we are offering the following:
-Ring Rental
-30/60/90 day horse training program
-Trailer your horse in for lessons
-Working students ( I have a few horses I want to use for lessons but they need some more experienced riders to work them. Lessons are free on these horses!)
-Pony rides/birthday parties
- We will Travel to you!

We offer quality instruction on our horse or yours, in both the hunter and jumper disciplines, and coaching from the local through the A levels of competition. We start young horses and give them a good foundation, and "de-programming" ex-racehorses is our specialty. Our school horses are in all shapes, sizes and experience levels, and some are available for lease (leases start @ $200/mo). We always have working student positions available and often times a working boarder position, as well. Terri Young trains horses and teaches riders of all levels. She specializes in bridging the gap between the local Virginia show circuit and US Equestrian Federation-rated shows. Terri grew up competing in equitation and hunters in New Jersey before spending several years working for dressage trainers, including Lendon Gray. After graduating with a degree in business management from Syracuse University, she moved to Germany where she trained and showed jumpers before returning stateside to open her own stable. She is a USEF “r” judge and a member of the USHJA Youth Council. Terri has been accepted to the USHJA Trainer Certification Program and was the winner of "Win a Week with Frank Madden," sponsored by Bates Saddles and Practical Horseman Magazine. North Star Stables is an inclusive riding facility offering riding lessons for people of all abilities. Instructor Teresa Pilegaard teaches with a foundation of classical dressage and focuses on adapting her teaching style to the needs of each individual rider. A PATH International IT, Teresa constantly pursues excellence in her riding and instructing.

Riding lessons are available for students age 2 - adult. Therapeutic riding lessons are available to students age 4 and up.
