North Windsor Farm LLC offers lessons for ages 5 and up beginner through advanced, as well as horse training. We are accepting new students for the Winter 2021 season! Please check out our website to learn more. The facility is 20 acres with large 180x70 indoor arena connected to the barn, heated viewing lounge, and large 200x80 outdoor arena. We are conveniently located at 139 Locktown Rd in Flemington NJ on a quiet road just off Route 12. Our horses are the best of the best as far as safety; they have done it all. Lessons are typically 1 hour and are tailored to each rider's experience. We do not jip rider's time on the horse. We also do evening lessons to accommodate those getting out of school and work. Chrissy began riding hunter/jumper as a young child and learned from many different instructors and horse trainers growing up. As a teen she worked with her sister taking care of 40 horses, many just broke and inexperienced, and she would teach them the basics and to jump. She would ride from sun up to sun down learning from the horses. She also rode with the University of Delaware Equestrian Team for 4 years. She has always gravitated towards working with troubled horses and spent several years as Assistant trainer at a farm that specialized in retraining the unfixables. She has taught & trained at many different farms throughout NJ, from upper level show barns to backyard farms. As an instructor & now in her 30s, she is known for being attentive, patient, encouraging and listening to students. Too often you see instructors on their phones, not paying attention, holding students back, or pressuring them to do things they are not comfortable doing. She is all about safety and teaches the correct way to use your natural aids to communicate with the horse. We have very well trained safe horses. For years, we have created a fun, exciting and nurturing environment for children of all ages. A place where they can experience life on a farm.

Our farm is located in the rural setting of Hunterdon County New Jersey. We have 10 acres of open land and woods where your kids can experience farm life. At Woodhedge Farm your children will learn horse safety, riding, barn management in addition to arts, crafts and swimming.

A typical lesson begins with grooming the horses and saddling up. Once we are done riding we get to give the horses a bath, and treats before turning them out for some rest and relaxation. We offer lessons to kids of all ages, and all skill level!

A typical camp day consists of morning riding, followed by some barn chores, lunch, crafts, and swimming! Your children will learn how to clean stalls, set up food, clean tack and shovel lots of manure! Before the sun goes down our campers get a second chance to ride either on our trails or in our arena.
