Introduction - Learn to safely approach, halter, and lead a horse, learn to groom, tack, mount, and dismount, introduction to riding aids, learn correct riding position and balance exercises, introduce walking and trotting, practice utilizing riding aids in steering exercises, trail riding.

This program has been under research and development and in part practice over the past 10 years.

I grew up in the Pony Club environment and went on to become a Certified BHSAI with over 38 years experience. Also have worked for or trained under some the most renowned trainer/instructors.
This life path has lead me to understand the deep level that horses do change peoples lives for the better and see a ever growing need for a program such as this.

MWM riding Camp is family owned and operated. We provide lessons for ages 3 and up. We are taking our youth off the streets and putting them in a saddle. We believe an hour of riding can change a child's life. We have a safe, comfortable, affordable, and loving environment. We also offer some therapeutic riding. MWM has a game room, class room, trail, outside arena, and much more. We welcome all riders. Lessons start at $15.00/hr so we can reach children that normally would not be able to get riding lessons. Bright Star Stables is a non-profit therapeutic riding center. The program serves both the physically and mentally disable communities. Bright Star Stables offers therapeutic riding lessons, hippotherapy, and the opportunity for compete in equine events. Students will be taught equine care, riding, handling, and management to their best level of ability. Therapeutic lessons are conducted at a NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicapped Association) certified facility located in Rougemont, NC.
