Hey, i'm offering riding lessons, horsemanship lessons, Birthday parties and quality time with horses. From lessons in grooming to beginner riders i can help. I am NOT a professional trainer. I am a teenager working to earn money. Adult Supervision on site

~ I own 4 horses and a mini donkey. I rescue, retrain, re home equines.
~ I ride western and English. I enjoy Jumping and doing Hunter under saddle. I have won Grand Champion in the 13 and over Hunter Jumper division. And have a strong love of horses.... See More

Introduction - Learn to safely approach, halter, and lead a horse, learn to groom, tack, mount, and dismount, introduction to riding aids, learn correct riding position and balance exercises, introduce walking and trotting, practice utilizing riding aids in steering exercises, trail riding.

Intermediate - Know parts of the tack, learn the two-point position and posting at the trot, learn to canter, introduce sitting trot, improve and strengthen two-point position, improve use of all riding aids in steering and gait transitions, trail riding.

Ashley Kriegel is an instructor new to the area and she is currently a working student for world-renowned eventer Holly Hudspeth. Ashley specializes in eventing and currently competes at the Intermediate level with her own horse. She is an HB graduate of Pony Club and has been teaching and training horses since she was 15. Our academy is based on a structured program that has proven and applied itself for the past 30+ years. We called it EQUES rider. This program is based on level. The student start at Rider 1, and will work to achieve their Rider 4 certification. Each student will learn and practice the skills necessary to graduate to the next level.
Our mission is to teach our riders to become better horsemen and horsewomen. Horse care, proper body position, safety around horses and body control are some examples of what our program teaches. Each Student will learn and apply important skills that can be used in any discipline they would like to pursue.

Bright Star Stables is a non-profit therapeutic riding center. The program serves both the physically and mentally disable communities. Bright Star Stables offers therapeutic riding lessons, hippotherapy, and the opportunity for compete in equine events. Students will be taught equine care, riding, handling, and management to their best level of ability. Students will also be involved to the level of their ability, skill, and interest in competition and training horses.

Therapeutic lessons are conducted at a NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicapped Association) certified facility located in Rougemont, NC. These lessons teach individuals horsemanship skills which allow them to potentially compete in locally and nationally recognized horse events in both Western riding, as well as English riding disciplines.
