Horseback Riding in Marcellus, New York (Onondaga County)

Growing up in the Equine Industry and on a boarding facility (Shady Maples Stable.) Caitlyn knew she had found her passion and love for horses and teaching. She has been riding and competing in local, A Circuit, and Intercollegiate Horse Shows for the past 19 years.

In Caitlyn's program, she teaches her students to care for the horses as well as ride them. It is her number one goal for her students, is to be safe, have fun, and acquire an abundance of knowledge all at the same time.

The majority of the lessons Caitlyn teaches are 1 hour private lessons for beginners-intermediate riders; in which they learn how to groom and tack up the horses, ride for between 30-45 minutes, untack and groom the horses. Don't be afraid to bring treats, as there is always time to give your equine companion a little extra something special! For which the charge is $30.

When the students would like to further their knowledge and experience, Tracy Percival Forman, is the intermediate-advanced instructor at Shady Maples Stable.

We offer hour long beginner horseback trail rides on our scenic 90 acre property and hour and half long intermediate/advanced trail rides to those with previous riding experience looking for more of a challenge.
