Fairhaven Farm is conveniently located to Rome, Summerville, Cedar Bluff, Cave Spring and Silver Creek. Owner/Operator Kimberly Wallace is American Riding Instructor Certified; a USDF Silver Medalist; is participating in the USDF "L Judges: Certification program; Preliminary Eventer (less than 6% of eventers compete at this level and above) and Assistant Coach to both the English and Western Berry College Equestrian teams. Kimberly has both a lifetime of experience in both Europe and the United States as well as a teachers heart so you will learn correctly from your first lesson and NOT have to re-learn/correct something later after its become a bad habit!! Her goal is to help every rider achieve his/her goals safely whether they be basic riding or International competition, Her lessons are broken into small pieces and presented in a logical order to help each students and training horse understand one another clearly. My goal is to foster a love of horsemanship and teach the proper techniques in caring for our equine friends. Students are taught to fully appreciate the responsibilities and rewards of being an equestrian and to develop a life-long respect for horses while learning self discipline, patience, perseverance and self confidence. I offer Western lessons. My students will learn the proper way to behave around horses, how to care for them, how to ride and why things are done the way they are; and to become accomplished, competent and independent riders. My lessons are designed for groups family members or one on one private lessons. I have owned, trained, and given lessons for 14 years. I am creating this new program for home schoolers. I am located 6 miles east of Monroe, GA in Good Hope.

On our pony, horse, or yours, we offer horseback riding lessons from the 4 year old lead line student thru adult advanced dressage. We also teach comprehensive horsemanship which includes caring for, grooming and tacking, and untacking the horse after the ride. We teach the classic balanced seat. After a good foundation is set, we move into the english dressage dicipline, hunt seat, jumping, and eventing.

Shannon Loven-Thompson has over 20 years experience teaching children and training ponies for show and pleasure. Currently, Shannon has a waiting list for new students starting as young as 4 years of age. Our ponies have years of experience teaching beginners and competing at horse shows of all kinds. Students compete regularly and are often among the show leaders. Our students enjoy consistent competition in Eventing, Dressage, State 4-H Horse Shows, Pony Club Championships, GDCTA events, and local hunter shows.
Shannon enjoys developing a robust group of child safe ponies at a variety of skill levels as well as young riders to enjoy the ponies she trains. Areas of specialization: early youth riders, equitation, dressage, show jumping, three (3) day eventing, and western pleasure.
