Devon Olivier is a recent graduate of the University of Georgia. She rode on the eventing team while attending college. She was on the 2016 USEA collegiate national championship team. She won the Open Prelim division at FENCE horse trials on 4-17-17 on her horse Karisma. She won the Open Prelim division at Paradise Farms on 2-17-17. Devon has won the individual Gold in the intercollegiate challenge at Chattahoochee Hills horse trials twice while on the UGA eventing team. Devon has trained numerous Off the Track Thoroughbreds and has gone to multiple national competitions with her horses. Devon has been a working student for Michael and Sharon Poulin (Bronze Medal at the Barcelona Olympics in dressage). While there she worked on getting correct and effective dressage training under her belt. She then worked for Mollie Zobel in South Carolina who was an upper level event trainer. Devon has worked with or taken lessons with Doug Payne, Elly Schobel, Michael Poulin, Sharon Poulin, Gwen Poulin. She has taken clinics with Werner Geven, Dom Schramm, Kyle Carter, Leslie Law, Jon Holling just to name a few. Devon offers lessons in dressage, jumpers and eventing. Devon has training privileges at Ashland Farms in Walnut Grove which offers a cross country course from starter thru Prelim. They also have two dressage arenas and a jumping arena. Luella Stables offers boarding, lessons for the beginner and intermediate rider and trail riding for all ages and requires no prior experience to participate. Lessons are offered Monday through Thursday. We specialize in first time riders and molding each student into all around equestrians. Students experience grooming, saddling, feeding, bathing and more about the overall experience of owning a horse. Students are welcome at the age of 4 and 5 but they are truly capable of gaining the most at ages 6 and up. I suggest our Friday night rides to children younger than 6 and please bring the entire family! It's only $10 per person for a 20 minute trail ride. We offer this every Friday 4:30 to dark. Over 35 years' experience in the equestrian industry, 14 years as a professional. I believe that riding should be fun and safe. I was taught by many wonderful trainers like; Berry Lane, Linda Allen, Daniel Geitner, and more. My focus is to ensure the rider has a strong and balanced leg, seat, and upper body. I believe a jump is simply a jump, it's how you ride between the jumps that matter.
I teach based on how each rider learns. I understand that every rider learns at their own pace, and I structure each lesson according to the rider's needs. I will not over face a rider, but I do ask a rider to step out of their comfort zone periodically, in a safe and understanding manor. I ask the riders to challenge themselves, not me forcing them.

I only offer private or semi private lessons. However, in the beginning I want a rider in a private setting so I can understand them and the rider can learn how I teach. Beginner riders are only private lessons, for their safety.

Casey began riding in 1989, when she was 5yo. at Chastain Stables, in Atlanta GA, learning Hunter/Jumpers. In 1990 she start competing in the Hunters. Casey moved to Roswell GA and started riding and competing in local and the 'A's with Linda Allen in Marietta, GA. After She moved down to McDonough, GA she started riding with Barry Lane. She moved back to Roswell in 1999 and started showing in 'AA' Jumpers with Bob Buxton. After moving back to McDonough, Casey went to Merideth Manor International Equestrian School in Waverly, WV where she studied Equine Health and Equine Massage Therapy. After school she rode with Barbara Bancroft until she moved back down to GA. She opened Creekwood Stables and rode with Daniel Geitner.
During operating Creekwood Stables, Casey has produced many Hunters and Jumpers that have won from local - AA shows through out the zone.
