English and Western style riding lessons are available to Beginners through Advanced riders. Whether it is you or your child's first time or their 100th time, our instructors will pair you with one of our knowledgeable lesson horses. Our facility offers both group lessons and private lessons catered to your riding level and preference. Horse Lover's Club: A Fun club of horse loving kids who are learning the basics of the animals we all love. We will explore the different varieties of riding through an hour group riding lesson. Then we will return to the barn, and our instructor will lead a fun, interactive horse science class that will improve your knowledge on anatomy, safety, care, barn management, and much more.
Note: This is a fun, beginner level educational session, participants may have a few take home assignments that they will be scheduled to bring back to their club meeting the next week.

We begin our day riding riding English or Western it is up to you. Not sure, or first time riding? Not a problem! Our instructor will be happy to assist you in choosing After riding, and our horses are bathed, and cooled, we break under the shade of the barn for our first hands-on Horse Science Lesson. What is a better way to learn than hands-on with our equine friends? Riders will learn the aspects of grooming, nutrition, anatomy, horse care, veterinary care, and much more during this session.

In the afternoon we break for lunch and cool down in the A/C or under one of our large oak trees. In the mid-afternoon Riders will work with their assigned Project Horse and participate in the various activities (show grooming, bathing, clipping, etc.)

In the late afternoon our riding sessions pick up again to include horseback games, or bareback riding.... See More

There are two trainers on site with experience in English riding ( hunters , beginners, show jumping). The barn is a "family-like" atmosphere with riders of all skill levels. Kris Di Carlo Equestrian is a full care, full training show barn located just 15 miles East of Hwy 75 in Bradenton Florida. With over 13 years experience in the Hunter/jumper show industry Kris has a handle on just what it takes to succeed and meet rider's and horse's goals. Kris has worked all over the country for top trainers in the industry, including farms in Texas, Colorado, New Mexico and California. Most notably for top International rider and trainers Jenni and Steve Mc Allister in California. After working for the best Kris has finally been able to put all is knowledge to work for himself and has opened his own farm. Kris started his career early on a breeding farm in New Mexico where he learned how to raise foals and break babies.

Seeking to learn the methodologies of training and horsemanship at the highest caliber, Kris moved to California to work with international Grand Prix and Longines FEI World Cup rider Jenni Martin-McAllister and Steve McAllister.

It was here that Kris tuned his talents both as a rider and trainer with an extensive focus in work on the flat and gymnastics.The core of the program uses a sensitive approach to unlocking the horses’ muscles while riding, through massage and stretching. On several occasions Kris also had the unique opportunity to work closely with Buddy Brown. As Assistant Trainer to Jenni Martin-McAllister and Steve McAllister he worked long-hours diligently riding young horses, teaching and showing.

Kris competed on the “A” circuit at prestigious shows such as: Pebble Beach, Del Mar, the Oaks, and HITS Thermal Desert Circuit from Hunter Derbies to Grand Prix jumpers. Aboard “Fly” he successfully competed through the 1.45m jumper divisions. Onboard his mare, Shalimar he has successfully competed through the Grand Prix jumper Divisions.

Kris successfully trained students from beginners all the way to the Grand Prix. In 2014 Kris made the decision to open his own equestrian training facility, Kris Di Carlo Equestrian, that would ultimately allow for him to continue his dedication to the maintenance and well-being of horse and rider. The philosophy of classical horsemanship along with a growing understanding of the mechanics of the horse gives Kris the expertise to successfully care for and train a diverse group of horses and riders. Through his in depth knowledge of flatwork and gymnastics, Kris instills in horse and rider confidence and understanding of the technical aspects of jumping.

This system translates into success over courses and in the show ring. His knowledge, enthusiasm and dedication to horse and rider makes Kris an ideal trainer. Respect and encouragement is the keystone to his training program.

Debbie has a great passion and love for all animals and loves to teach children and adults to ride to their fullest potential with their horses and ponies. Not only does she teach them to ride well, but desires to educate them to understand, feel and think for themselves to become truly effective riders and to develop a winner mentality…that in turn can positively influence and correctly train their horses. Professional instruction by experienced riding instructor/trainer. I instruct children and adults and beginners to advanced. I have had riders and horses win on the "A" breed circuit, and have also had riders and horses win at Nationals and Top 10 at the World show for Morgans.

I keep lessons safe and fun and educational. I focus on developing a strong abdominal core for balance and strength. My facility, Arbordale LLC, is beautiful with covered riding and an air-conditioned viewing lounge for parents and friends and is convenient to both I-75 and I-275. I have a wonderful selection of lesson and show horses that I use for instruction.

I instruct riders in saddleseat, hunter seat, western pleasure, and harness. My focus is on the Morgan and Saddlebred breeds. I do take riders to little local shows and they can progress to larger breed shows and even Nationals if the opportunity presents. My pricing is affordable.
