A horse is a horse of course, of course: Our horses are kept outside 24/7 with the exception of inclement weather or injury. They're kept in small groups to minimize potential for injury and allow for socialization and play time. All borders are expected to feed two feedings a week unless the horse is a retiree, or being boarded from out of state. This allows everyone to be comfortable with the heard and to allow you the time to be your horses favorite person at least twice a week. All of our horses are given free choice hay and water and are up to date with vaccines, deworming, and farrier care. Cedar Grove Farm is a western facility (all disciplines are welcome!) in Burgettstown, PA that offers boarding, lessons, on-site leases, and training. We specialize in rehabilitation, colt starting, gaming, and newly focused on ranch riding with plans on becoming more active in the western show circuit. We also have several amazing horses available for ON-SITE lease, so if you want to ride but don’t want the expense of owning a horse then this is for you! Our beautiful location is near the north end of Lake Wilhelm on a back country road setting. We offer daily turnout in large green paddocks, weather permitting. Our Indoor Arena is well lit and the sand mix footing is groomed and watered regularly to maintain a dust-free environment for horses and riders. The Indoor also boasts of large mirrors so that you can watch your horses progress as well as keep a close eye on your position. Large outdoor sand dressage arena. A Jump Field is set up with a full course of stadium jumps in the summer time. Stalls are cleaned daily and horses are given individual attention here at RTC. A round pen with sand footing is available near the indoor arena for ground work. Horses are fed seven times each day, four hay and three grain as studies have shown that frequent small feedings are better for the horses digestive system than fewer large feedings.
